Thought we looked improved, such as it was, and CJP will work hard but it isn't about UT...

It's about a job, don't forget that he's a gump, bred and born North Alabama thru and thru. I hope we have a mutually beneficial and wonderful relationship but he's a paid mercenary just like every other top tier coach not at their alma mater.

This team took Georgia to the woodshed in the third quarter and if the defense had recovered a couple of fumbles, Tennessee could have made this game closer.

Risking? What could he be risking? And he isn’t doing crap for us. That’s not a coaches job. And I am sure he is working hard. I am sure Butch and Dooley did too.
Difference being he actually knows what he's doing seeing as how ya know he came from coaching at 2 powerhouse schools and lead/developed their top 5 defenses one to multiple National Titles. Slightly different than trying to hype up a 7 win coach from cincinnati or a 4-8 coach from Louisiana Tech

Pruitt grew into the job today. Maybe his first defining moment of who he is and what we got.

He loves his players, his wifes favorite player is Paul Bain for Christs sake.

He don't throw them under the bus. See post game comment on banks for yet another reference.

He hates losing and whiteboards....and yet...he's realistic about the rebuild here and is playing the long game, and handling business in a way i can respect.

Tonight felt like a turning point....no matter how acute the angle....or it could be just a fell good intermission, right before we hit the killing floor of the SEC Slaughterhouse.

Ever wondered why a program like Cinci, or any other, never offered him a HC job? Butch was making more at Cinci in 2012 then Pruitt made last year. Plus Jones won 19 games his last two seasons at Cinci. So not a 7 win coach.

He said "The offense finally got going."

Thats ALL I need to know. I can appreciate his emotion, but coaching, not emotion, wins games.

I hope to goodness he was just talking and doesnt really believe that.

I think compared to the first half they did get going.

If there was ever any doubt, coach is in it for the kids. Not for himself, not for his coaches, not for the university (flame away), he wants the best for the kids. And these young men are still kids, and they played their hearts out today. GBO
Exactly what I was thinking. If Alabama came calling at the end of this year he wouldn’t leave. He wants to finish what he started! I’m behind this guy, I suggest everyone else who isn’t to get on board! GBO

Offense has been good for about 1 to 2 solid drives a game.

The rest of the time it's just grinding gears.

Ya but you have to actually cheer for the team...... you've literally just been complaining this whole time. Just saying..
Buddy, I’ve been supporting this team for over 30 years. I’ve earned my fandom. Maybe you shouldn’t expect better than 30 point losses?

Offer who? Coach Pruitt? if thats who you mean then your logic is flawed friend. The same argument could be said for Kirby Smart 3 years ago despite him being the DC for Bama for...9 years? Pretty sure he's doing ok now.
