Pruitt dismisses Banks.

When you said you prayed he was telling the truth? Man, you all over the place.

I never said that.

I said I was praying it was new info. Which it was.

Go back and read my post that you responded too initially.

Well, I'm all for second chances but if you continuously do dumb stuff it's on you to deal with the consequences. After 2 videos in a week of him acting like an idiot I have to say Pruitt made the right decision. I hate it for JB had high hopes for him but it is what it is, time to move on.

Seems to be an emerging pattern.

"I have made the decision to remove Jeremy Banks from our football program.

While I will continue to support Jeremy in the next steps in his life, information I recently received made it clear that this decision is in the best interest of the football program and the university."

Yea....the information he received was the National Media giving him crap for handling it the way he did. So he caved. He turned his back on a young man that needed his help and wrote him off because of pressure from talking heads.

He's a weak coach and an even weaker man.

Lost what little respect I had over the leadership of this program today.

I approve of this. It’s an unpopular move, but the right one. JMO.
Banks had his opportunities (1. Don't get yourself into a situation to have your license suspended 2. Don't continue to drive when your license is suspended 3. Make your court date regarding driving on said suspended license. 4. When stopped on the warrant charge, don't act like an idiot with the officers who according to media accounts, went out of their way to show respect and fair treatment to the perp.) to accept responsibility for his decisions on multiple occasions and has chosen not to. Whether the dismissal was directed by a CJP superior or not, IMO, it was the correct choice. Enough bad decisions have been made by individuals in leadership positions at UT in the past few years. I sincerely hope Dr. Plowman and CPF are doing what they can to reverse this trend with the goal that this athletic program will again be successful going forward.

I support the move. The crap should have hit the fan when it happened and a self-imposed lesser penalty may have been OK then, but the media slapped it out there for all to see, and judge. His hand was forced at this point and there was no other alternative. The lessons learned: don't try and hide and think it'll go away. It'll only get worse. Second, demand discipline and make sure your players know it.

Sure you do . This is sort of thing that could really mess up the locker room leading up to a big game. If you do it Monday, you have a week to get the rest of the team synced up.

I pray it is new info that something came up

Guess they decided not to wait until Monday on assaulting and threatening someone.

Pruitt said it was new info. You prayed it was new info. Pruitt's word was not good enough. You appealed to a higher power. Your prayer was answered!

If it really was a violation of the student code of conduct, good move by cutting him free.

That happens at ANY university. You can push the envelope until you break the student code of conduct...then you are cut.
Also, if what TMZ is reporting is true, great move by putting out teh PR fire before it flares back up again.

BS. Quit trying to win an Emmy. You’re not alone.

Not lying, I'm serious. I actually like you as a poster. But you did spend three days trying to pizz people off lol, so you had to know there would be some reaction. And given the new info, I'm sure you are also more comfortable with the decision. I'd rather we hug it out and move on?

Actually I didn't really pray. Just rubbed my lucky rabbit's foot

These thugs have been babied since Jr. High. Coaches can't hold each one of their hands while they experience the freedoms of being out of momma's arms for the first time. It seems, as a previous post stated, Banks had many opportunities and kept screwing up. A coach can only do so much.
