There's no such thing as a sure thing. There are risks involved with any hire. All you can do is research your candidates and evaluate their odds of success based on your established criteria.
Given that, Pruitt has a very high likelihood of success. He's worked his way up the coaching ladder with consistent success at some of the best programs in the country. He works hard. He performs well. He elevates and develops those around him.
I firmly believe that Pruitt can succeed at Tennessee.
After doing my due diligence, I agree with you. I just hope he can assemble a good staff (mainly a great OC).
