There are probably more that I am forgetting:

  • Getting upset with fans over spring game attendance (O+W game 2018)
  • Saying that the offensive coordinator position is “overrated”
  • Team quitting in the 2018 Vanderbilt game
  • He hates doing anything with media
  • Quarte Sapp situation
  • Reportedly turning down Kendall Briles as OC because Briles wanted to bring his o-line coach with him. Pruitt stuck with Friend.
  • Losing to Kentucky at home for first time since 1984
  • Playing Guarantano multiple games after he should have been benched
  • Firing Brumbaugh in middle of season
  • Jeremy Banks cops situation
  • Lack of in-game adjustments
  • Losing 6 straight games by double digits
  • Inability to cover the middle of the field
  • Decommits

And now, NCAA Violations/Investigations

And the GA State and BYU losses. Can’t forget those. This guy is an absolute embarrassment.

If some of the rumblings are true that Pruitt has made enemies around the program, then the “violations” could potentially be a setup to fire Pruitt.

If not that then Kirby Smart could have turned us in while we were trying to recruit Mims. They don’t like each other either.

There’s so many possibilities on why Pruitt’s job is in jeopardy.

I believe it is B. I heard they sent Gray and Maurer with a credit card to show Mims a good time.

He hasn’t met expectations in the win column. Regardless of what this investigation reveals there’s enough to fire him based on record alone. Tennessee isn’t competative. Pundits search high and low finding excuses to keep him in Knoxville. Look no further than his record as to why he should be let go. It isn’t personal, it’s business.

Add to the list:

General lack of intelligence
Numerous in-game clock management snafus
A billion examples of substitution issues leading to unnecessary timeouts/penalties/terrible plays
Inability to understand when to go for 2

Making enemies within the program would seem to match up well with Murray‘s comments about Pruitt’s time at Georgia. Man, I hate to agree with a Bulldog but that man called it right on the money. I roasted him for it at the time but I am the one wth the plate full of burnt crow meat now

I don’t think it would be in Kirby’s best interest to start pointing fingers at anyone else’s program. He doesn’t want or need that attention. Those Boys down in Athens aren’t exactly getting the ROI they expected. And I don’t mean Kirby and the staffs contracts .

True or not, the allegations are there. Pruitt would like an escape route. Offer him the chance to "resign" over violations, pay him $5-$7 million "buyout" to walk away . Tell current assistants involved will pay 40-50% of current buyouts to walk or risk being terminated for cause if violations prove true. We get what we want and don't break the bank. . Everyone wins and we don't lose faith from future coaches who would not want to do a contract with Tennessee.

I can narrow the list.

Not winning.

If he wins most other concerns go away

16-19 overall record

16 losses by double digits

worst home loss to KY than ANY Tennessee coach

tells now thriving QB’s “no thanks” while throwing bags O cash at one who rides the pine for Tennessee.

Pruitt overheard a professor stating pi r-squared. Pruitt interrupted, saying, no pie r round, cornbread r squared.

If Pruitt had brought in Briles, one of two things would've happened.

1) Briles would've been here (most of) one season - they would've butted heads, and Pruitt would've fired him and the O-line coach.

2) We would've scored a lot of dang points, won a lot of dang games, and thought Pruitt might not've been the wiser (or a better HC), we would not be having this conversation. But then again, Pruitt hiring Briles would've, by default, made him a better HC than he is now.

Coaching Bama all the way through the playoffs after accepting the job as Tennessee's head coach completely rubbed me the wrong way.
Amen to that, he had to prove himself immediately after making that call. Our head coach helping Bama in the playoffs, gross.
