Thats the whole argument u saying he good not great and im sayn he trash.i didnt talk down on any vol players this conversation is about Josh Dobbs as a UT quaterback i didnt bring up anything about him as a pro which i truly hope he does well because he is a vol bit imho we havent had a real qb since eric ainge EVERY qb we had after him was trash and we have 10 years of beatdowns as proofHonestly, what hurts is trying to read your posts. I'm not deflecting at all, Im simply wondering why you are going out of your way to look for reasons to hate on him? He was a good, not great QB that had a real talent for scrambling. He never got in trouble, he was tough, and overall he is a great ambassador for the program. He got us back in or won us a couple of games and he probably sealed our fate in a few. Nothing more nothing less. Facts.
Honestly dobbs was a good football player but he was trash as a qb. Our biggest mistake in school history was leaving the pro style offense.we were never ment to be a spread offense in the SEC we are cornbread fed in the trenches with a power run game and a pro style qb who could actually test a defense vertically.smh GBO

To be clear, I don't think Dobbs is one of our top 5 QBs of all time. I said he was top 5 all time in passing yards and TDs, which is just stating facts. People are understandably calling you a troll because you keep using the word "trash" to describe him, like over and over and over, which is exactly what trolls do.
Your argument as to why Dobbs is "trash" is that he turned the ball over too much, didn't win an SEC title, and didn't win any New Year's Day bowls. Then you say Erik Ainge is the last good QB to play for UT.
But here's the thing...
Ainge also didn't win any SEC titles, he threw more career INTs than Dobbs, and we never made any higher tier bowl games under Ainge than we did with Dobbs. You may have forgotten that we played in 2 New Year's Day bowls with Dobbs (and won them both), although technically one of those was on Jan 2. Ainge also had the benefit of David Cutcliffe, while Dobbs was basically just winging it. And let me clarify here, I don't even know who the better QB is between Ainge and Dobbs - they're completely different players, and I think were both really good, but a reasonable person cannot label one of those as "good" and one of those as "trash"
We havent had a good qb since erik ainge guess thats why we havent won 10 games in a season since erik ainge EVERYONE ELSE after that were trash qbs. Not bashing anyone u either won at UT or u didnt
That makes dobbs evem worse because he wasnt better then aingeHonestly Ainge was trash. He has stated multiple times in interviews he was on pain pills most of his career at UT. He wasted an NFL career for them to boot. Don't fool yourself into thinking all other QB's were just trash because UT wasn't winning 10+ games. Coaching not QB's had something to do with that as well.
I will leave this one here too.

Look qb has always been the most important position in football if u dnt have one ur not winning unless u got a 2000 ravens defense doesnt matter who the coach is we wat to much on simply coaching he cant play for u

I dnt care about stats dobbs played in a spread system all i know is when i cut on the tv and watched the vols he wasnt a good qb period i saw mediocre at best so yall can say im trolling idc he was trash. For every fact you gave on ainge he still won 10 games in a season and dobbs never did and he had plenty talent jus look around the nflTo be clear, I don't think Dobbs is one of our top 5 QBs of all time. I think an offensive system is extremely handicapped when your base system has the quarterback huddling in the backfield with a running back while the defense is converging. Whoever the running back was in such a situation was behind the 8-ball to start with. Dobbs was pretty good at noticing when running Lanes opened for him and taking advantage of it but there is no way at that point to communicate that knowledge to a running backI think Kongbo will bennefit alot from Pruitt. Kamara would of been even better if Butch knew how to use him. You get the ball to your play makers.
