I’m late to the party but our guys played with heart & toughness on the road against a good defensive front team in Auburn.

Can’t say enough about JG. He looked sharp throwing the ball today. Very tough individual.

There’s still plenty of room for improvement but this is truly a statement by Pruitt!

He wants to win right away, no denying that!

Enjoy this win boys!

Even aside from the playcalling, I was really impressed with the general in-game awareness of Pruitt.

Watching UGA/LSU right now, and the announcers are talking about Kirby not calling a TO with a couple minutes left in the half, and the LSU punter not taking as much clock as he could've.

Pruitt seemed to have a really good handle on this little stuff, and it adds up. The timeout at the end of the first half on D that got us the field goal, the onside kick attempt that put them at their own 25 anyway, the proper use of time late in the game.

All good signs to see from a rookie HC.

It’s been a great day. LSU May make it even better.

And BTW our receivers fought and got the ball today. I heard Pruitt spent a lot of time with WRs last week or two. JG threw it where only they could get it or incomplete and the receivers fought. Defense played decent to good and JG/receivers won the game. I have never seen so many third and longs converted. Now if we could get more consistent positive yardage on first down runs. At least those runs sped up the clock.

I'd be happy even if it's only to see UGA dropped out of the top 8 and OSU make it to the final 4 and get waxed again against a real team.

I loved the win today, but we haven't proved anything yet.

We have Bama at home, and the crowd will be watching the Jumbotron instead of making noise. Checker Neyland, and turn that ****ing thing off.

More than anything he coaches to win.

That seem like such an obvious statement to make but it doesn't appear to always happen with coaches. We've seen it for years around here....coaching scared and still losing.

Go Vols!

Hahaha. Well UGA is the team I hate the most in the SEC. Want to see them lose every game. And showing they are not unbeatable(other than Bama)may help us in recruiting a little. And UGA is younger and not as good as they were last years.

I don’t like Florida, don’t get me wrong but I somehow wish UGA shows vulnerability and us and Fl get better and better and we both take over the east again in time. Sounds weird and maybe it is the beer talking or 90s nostalgia that makes me want us and Fl both get better but I would give anything to start going 10-2 or 9-3 every year again with an 11-1 or 12-0 season once every 4-7 years and appearance in SEC and NC playoff hopes.

Got this weird thing where my ideal football world is us and Fl dominate the east and Bama and TAMU/LSU dominate the west and most years those 4 teams rotate through the SEC champ game.

Obviously wish it was us every or most years but trying to be semi realistic and I absolutely hate the dawgs more than any other team. This overwhelmingly due to their jackbutt fans and the fact I have only been in two fights in the last 20 years and both at Sanford stadium and there fans offenses so bad the security their saw it and gave me and my friends the Greenlight to fight/retailaite. I don’t hate anything in this world other than UGA fans.

I have a hate/respect for Bama and can be cordial with their fans, my neighbor who is a UF grad has made me hate but not disdain UG like I used too. Just want to start beating them once every other year or so and still ticked Jones pissed away at least 2-3 wins against them we should have easily had.

One of these days when we outnumber the other team 3 or 4 to 1 on those onside kicks we are going to get the ball right?

It was kind of awesome how the ball ended up at the 25 anyways today which would have been a touchback.

Unlike against UGA the ball started bouncing our way overall. Usually a sign you are outplaying the other team or playing better overall. Won’t happen next week but hopenit does at least 2 or 3 of the last 4 SEC games

Agreed. Most important unit on any team, at least in the SEC. Yes DLines can change games too but a good OLine can keep any team in almost any game. Controlling the clock and slowing the game down if that was the only strength your team has can keep you in it late against even great teams
