My hope is the idiot will slip up, and he could very easily, making a mistake to provide the opportunity to fire him for cause, then the buyout is moot! This is what we need!! It’s time for us to catch a break with a coach and QB and get out of football purgatory!!! All the other big schools had their decade of slop and it was our turn, so it’s time to end! GBO

Are you kidding me? Yeah they have plenty of money to throw around. Why the **** else would some idiot sign Pruitt to an extension before he proved anything in season 3 and give him a raise when no other team was trying to steal him from us? LOL and it pains me to say that, honestly, because I'm a Winchester, TN native.

Some of you guys find it awfully easy to spend someone else’s money. This is the USA so we get to voice our opinion, (and I whine with the best of them) but unless we have a spare million or more laying around we don’t get a vote.

Pruitt won't be fired until after 2022 or 2023.

I think the boosters and Fulmer get a potential hire in place before Pruitt gets canned.

Some staff changes will probably be made in the interim.

Doubt it all you want but several media members who cover the Vols have said Pruitts contract specifically does not have an offset. Do you think they lie? Sexton knows what he’s doing & Pruiit knows if he flops in 3 yrs he gets a million dollar raise going back to Bama.

Bama hates us. They would pick Pruitt up in a heartbeat and make a consultant out of him and pay him $45,000 a year just so he could milk all the money out of our athletic budget they could. Why do you think Butch is there? As soon as we stop having to pay Butch Bama will cut him loose.

UT Endowment is approximately $1.5 Billion. No matter how many in the stadium, UT still gets guaranteed SEC TV money. Luckily, we do have some deep pocket donors, who are probably as sick of Pruitt as we are.

Even if the best possible Offensive Coordinator were hired, Pruitt would tell him what kind of Offense to run, and Pruitt would play the quarterback that makes him feel safest. A completely revamped staff won’t change the problem of Pruitt as Head Coach. The Pruitt hire/experiment has failed, we have someone unsuited to be a Head Coach, for many reasons, which most can see.

There is no reason to waste more time on this hire, losing games and fan support, and just plain making Tennessee football miserable. Winning football teams score points, I hope our next Head Coach knows Offense and Quarterbacks.

Rip off the bandaid.

Exactly right. The rot starts with the head coach. And ever since he has been hired all I have heard about is the stellar staff he has assembled around him. Did those people, the ones that didn't leave because of massive turnover, all suddenly forget how to coach???? Hahaha... they have no leadership. They have a petty tyrant at the top telling them to trust his system as if he were Saban himself. What a joke...

As usual, the half ass media is not reporting accurately! To fire him “WITHOUT CAUSE” there is no offset. To fire “WITH CAUSE” then pay ends at termination date. See pages 6-11

We are what we are now. Its been 20 years since we were great, 15 since we were good. We are somewhere around the 3rd to 5th best team in the East, Mid pack in the SEC. Our facilities are nice but not any more so than any of the programs we want to be. I'm sure Pruitt isn't winning anything here, but I'm not sure anyone else is either.
