Just had a chance to go back an watch this.

Summary:

>Offensively there was some improvement. We didn't have a turnover and we need to protect the football. But we had too many orange jerseys watching the play finish. We've got to do a better job technically upfront. We have to sustain and finish blocks.

>Defensively. Disappointed in the lack of turnovers. We had a couple opportunities but didn't finish on the ball. Didn't think we played particularly well in the back end. Too many mistakes. Too many mental errors

>Special teams. We missed a field goal and kicked a kick off out of bounds and there wasn't much opportunity other than that.

>Georgia is one of the better teams in college football the last couple of years. They have a lot of team speed. They're big and physical at the line of scrimmage and out on the perimeter. They create a lot of negative plays on defense. They don't have a weakness.

>We've been inconsistent on the defense, especially on the back end. If you put stress on the back end you have to be able to eliminate big plays. We really need to improve from a technical standpoint. Having our eyes in the wrong spot got us in trouble on several plays on Saturday. We need to get more turnovers.

>Jahmir Johnson and Elijah Simmons will be available this week.

>Cade Mays is happy he's getting a chance to play. He went against these guys every day. They're used to going against him, and he's used to going against them. They'll be real familiar with each other.

>They understand we're not playing at the level that we're capable of playing. We need to improve on our effort and finishing.

>We should be gaining some guys back in the back end this week, but we continue to work a lot of different guys. If we played today Bryce Thompson probably would have been able to play the entire time, so he should be ready to go. As for physicality, we didn't finish blockers, finish runners, on the perimeter, it's not to the level we want to be at.

>Wanya Morris played better this week, and he should. He didn't have enough practices to be able to play at a high level the first week.

>On the jumbo package, the way Missouri plays defense, it gave us the best opportunity to ensure we block everybody in the box. They put a lot of guys up there.

>On Jalen McCollough and Theo Jackson... I think all these guys have to play at a higher level. The more they practice, they'll improve. We have to raise our level of play in the back end. There's probably a lot of reasons, the first one starts with us as coaches. Players need to have better discipline looking at the right stuff. Most of the guys playing, they've played a lot of ball for us, so it's not like it's their first time playing.

>230 yards rushing what did you see in the backs and the offensive line? I felt like we were committed to running the football. We left a lot of yards out there. We ran one particular play ten times and only blocked it right four times. We've got to eliminate those mistakes.

>Are you a believer in a signature win? We play whoever is the next team on our schedule. Our team has continued to improve the last couple of years. We're not where we want to be. We understand the teams in the league that have had success. When you watch week in and week out, the teams that consistently play the right way have success in this league.

>Against Georgia's defense, you've got to protect the quarterback, establish the run game and you have to be able to throw and catch the football. It's going to be tight windows.

>What do you call the heavy package? Jim's been doing this a long time. It's his idea, I have no idea. It might be 12 heavy. I don't know.

>On the defensive line we need to be more consistent upfront, we need to play harder, we need to strain for a longer period of time. We need to be tied in together with the linebackers.

>When Cade Mays and his lawyer said Georgia was a toxic environment, what did they mean by that? I have no idea. I was not involved in those conversations.

>The offensive line understands that they need to work harder. They need to practice better. They need to finish better in practice. The way you practice is the way you play.

>I didn't feel like our receivers got away from man coverage very good on Saturday. We need to play faster and create some separation at the top of routes. Make sure we line up properly. There were probably two plays I wish we would have thrown the ball away that we didn't that could have been turnovers. We can't have those plays.

Pruitt knows football, we have alot of arm chair qb's like every schools base has but we have a FOOTBALL COACH and he is a good one that is only going to get better! GBO!!!!!!!

The good thing is, and I think Roman Harper said it on SEC network, Tennessee is 2-0 and still has not played their best yet. Plenty of room to grow and improve.
