Pruitt’s defense vs. Malzahn’s offense

True about the talent diff, but think there’s a value in being dialed into tendencies and what has worked situationally in the past. Certainly can’t hurt.
Well we now have 4 games worth of tape to watch and 2 weeks of practice that will hopefully build a little depth. While we won't win. I hope it will be competitive and a couple more player emerge

Auburn has also had 3 different OC combinations over that span, so it still means squat. Without the talent to stop them, we could know the exact play they were going to run and still not win.

I say we hang on to the 11AM ET start time as our ace in the hole. It's the best advantage we have vs the Barn. That should tell you all we need to know @ the outcome.

One thing I will say is that we match up better against Auburn than Georgia.

We don't have the depth up front on defense to deal with Bama and Georgia's monster rushing attacks, but we did a pretty good job limiting passing yardage against Georgia. Auburn's rushing attack has not been nearly as good this year as it was last. If we can deal with their run game and limit the pass, we might be able to keep it close.

That said, I am in no way shape or form predicting an upset. I'm merely saying it's not as hopeless as it was against Georgia or it will be against Bama.

Yeah like another poster said earlier. The more people start talking about us having a chance and pulling out the upset, the more I doubt it. I think it will be a 3 score game

Not concerned about our Defense playing their best. No way we score much against their D
I will say that of the group of FL, UGA, BAMA, AUB, that Auburn seems to have the tendency to play down to their competition and thoroughly aggravate their fan base more than the others. Guess we can always hope. Of past Auburn teams, I worried about guys like Cadillac Williams running over us...which turned out to be a valid concern. Don't think they'll do this, and I'd almost predict we get a few turnovers. Moving the ball on their DL is going to be a task.

Some of the players on the roster years from now will look back and say this is where their character was made.
