So,,,, It’s ok to miss align on a few plays per game? That’s odd. A good defense rarely is out of position during a game.

It’s pretty obvious....My wife knows absolutely nothing about football and said it looks like your team doesn’t know how to line up correctly.

It’s a more intelligent answer than you coach fluffers always blaming players and not the man making $4 million dollars per year.

By the way FCS Pruitt has now lost by 25+ points in 8 of his 11 loses.

Same here, my wife noticed how we don't line up correctly, even d linemen a yard off the ball and no real effort

When did I say we had a good defense? I didn’t. I said they’re starting to flash more often and will be good in the future. Also, when did I say it was ok to misalign? I didn’t. I said they’re young, they make mistakes and when they do it costs them dearly.

Maybe you should spend a little more time actually reading what someone says before you make sh!t up, pop off and show your ass.

Jesus this board is infested with stupid right now........

Good deflection bright boy. I mean when I responded to you initially YOU were the one blaming and talking sh!t about the players. You get called out for it and immediately switch to Pruitt and throw in the coach fluffer comment.

I know it’s tough to stay on topic but you can do it. I have faith in you. Remember..... GA State! 🙄

Georgia's Oline averaged 6'5', 326 lbs which gave Fromm around 5 minutes every down to complete a pass and he's far too good a QB to give him that kind of time. I'm not overly impressed with our defense but I'm of the thought that CJP needs some time to get our lines stocked with some big uglies like Ga has. Out offense, both the line and execution, looked a bunch better than lately but our defensive line got manhandled all day and I believe Fromm has only been sacked once this year. We were just outclassed today on both the coaching staff and players. It's gonna take time as both will get better.

D line push was not the problem on the last 2 scores right before half. The DBs were not within 15 yards of the middle of the field. Miscommunication or not, it happened on 2 drives within 4 minutes. Totally changed the game giving up 2 TDs right before halftime.

We literally have NO depth in the front 7 on defense and the front 4 are just not that good. We will have to recruit our way back into a good defense.

Can’t disagree with anything you said. Georgia went hurry up. We were slow to react and misaligned a few times. Didn’t look good. They’re young and when they screw up it bites them hard. They aren’t good enough right now to recover from it.

Pruitt is playing with lost causes in the secondary and having to deal with transfers and jucos with no experience on the DL. Oh and half the LBs are gone now.

It blows my mind that on the last play of a blowout game, the opponent is still blitzing the house while UT refuses to.

I hope Pruitt can recruit at least 4 freshmen starters on defense every year. Then he will have a whole lineup for his defense, if none leave. See how that sounds saying he needs his players, better talent. Based on that premise, he can’t coach up lesser talent and he needs to recruit at a top 3 level every year. His very good players will be leaving after their Jr years and he will need another 4 FR starters. Of course he still needs some depth and offensive starters.
He probably is not going to get that many top recruits with the 25 limit. He is going to have to coach up some lesser talent or he will continually be void of depth. Going to need some offensive players ready next year or the same things will show up on that side of the ball. WRs and maybe QB, then the following year will need some RBs. Then the current DBs will be gone and he will have to start over there again. He has to develop other than 4 or 5* talent.

GA st was just the beginning, the vols have been playing terrible defense thru 5 games. I’m not gonna let that go. You might want to, but not me because I’d like to see the Vols win

Not the lack of we have or had plenty. Guys are being put in the wrong positions cause he playing favorites. You play freshman you get beat and worse then that they learn how to LOSE as a freshman this ain't High school where the other team in the district lose players Sick to my stomach did any see them about to fight on sideline

I like how people think we should have started a true freshman at QB and somehow we would have been 3-1. Donyou even watch football?....
We also lost all of our D starters from last year and lost our only returning D line contributed to injury. And somehow you think our D line should be great because Pruitt is supposed to be a great coach. Do you think average / young players somehow become instantly good? They are getting better. They fought through the game and were up until 5 minutes before the half. No one likes losing but starting so many freshman by necessity will take time and they will make mistakes. Why waste your time watching and posting if it's so bad? Year 3 in any program turn around should be expected for results. I have seen improvements each week in certain areas. Do I enjoy losing? I suspect less than 90% of the whiners on this blog. Why not try looking for some positives and support your team for once?

He needs to simplify it. They are thinking way too much. You can’t be lining up after the ball is snapped...bad line, players, whatever, if you simplify it, and they are coached on where to be, what to do, who to cover, then there will be improvements. You can’t run a quarter horse in the derby and expect him to beat thoroughbreds. Run a defense that gives our kids a chance.

It's simple. The DL cant get to the QB. At all. Tonite we played a very savvy and experienced QB that knows where to go with the ball when you blitz him.
I think there are some players at LB and in the secondary. They just need a few more. The DL is a lot farther away.

The defense is thin and the offense hasn't been able to sustain ball control type drives. That becomes an issue in the second half of games.
