What will be Coach Pruitt’s 1st signature win? Does it even happen this season? If this has been a thread...my bad...if not...post away.
I’m going with Florida. We should be completely healthy still...that’s my pick.

I don’t think there is agreement on what a “signature win” is. If we beat Florida, is that an automatic signature win, even if they’re like 6-6? Would any SEC win be a signature win? Could West Va be one? Then there’s the reality that signature wins don’t mean a ton in the long run. Butch had an awesome 1st year win over top 5 South Carolina and then well...

Having said that, I’m not expecting one in year 1. I really hope I’m wrong, but our best chance at one is probably against Florida, and we’ve read that book too many times.

Anytime UT beats Florida its considered a signature win.

WV. We shut down Grier and his "Heisman Run"..(.wtf is up with that btw?) and we will pound the rock though all day. They already expect to win on top of Griers over inflated ego when it comes to the Vols. So they come in expecting an easy win and we knock them on their arse's. I'm predicting a solid 7-10 points. If we rock them easily the I would feel comfortable saying we beat FL/Mizz/and POSSIBLY SC.

P.S I feel like that kid should be drug tested again before this season since ya know....roids.

I’d never ever consider Kentucky or Vandy as a signature win. That’s like throwing a NC parade when you didn’t win one.

The only wins that apply are rivals, major ooc games, and the West.

Could be West Virginia, could be Florida.

We could beat both teams, and it be neither, if it turns out neither are very good next year.

Hard to say. We have two teams this year we shouldn't have a shot against and we have a bunch no one knows about.

Agree. I think we beat an overrated 7-6 team that plays little to no defense. Next, I’ll go out a little longer limb....I think we beat Auburn at Auburn after we enjoy our bye week and Auburn is a tired team playing it’s 7th straight game.
Bold pick.

If he pulls off both of those hes in 8 or 9 win territory.

I’m not a “prediction guy” at all. But I just think that if JP and staff are the guys we think they are, then we’ll get steadily better through the season, especially coming off our bye week....and that a tired Auburn team may be ripe for picking in week 7. Definitely bold, but predictions should be bold by definition.

UF next season if ever.

I’m expecting this year to be a massive learning curve. Best case with close wins over UK and Vandy. Worst case close loses resulting in a similar record as last.

Hopefully he’s a quick learner, making adjustments to get 8-9 wins next season and competing for the East.
