Just because you lose, it doesn't mean you can't observe the things you did well. In fact, if you didn't do that, you are less likely to learn your strengths in order to apply them in the future.
Acknowledging those things IN NO WAY equates to being happy with a loss.
Internally, this is exactly how a coach should address the players and how the team should think about this game.
Fans never take the time to celebrate the good in the bad and study the bad in the good.
I think you are seeing that nobody wants to hear coach speak I don't disagree with you by the way
