Just because you lose, it doesn't mean you can't observe the things you did well. In fact, if you didn't do that, you are less likely to learn your strengths in order to apply them in the future.

Acknowledging those things IN NO WAY equates to being happy with a loss.

Internally, this is exactly how a coach should address the players and how the team should think about this game.

Fans never take the time to celebrate the good in the bad and study the bad in the good.

I think you are seeing that nobody wants to hear coach speak… I don't disagree with you by the way…

Well we weren't beating them with the talent we have this year either. We didn't give Dooley an excuse for losing to #1 Bama in his third year, why are we doing for Martin in his 3rd year

Because Martin is actually winning games? Martin has finshed top 4 in the SEC 3 years in a row. Dooley was winning one game in the conference.

Even if that's the case, what's the problem with acknowledging it? Dude is a UT fan, so I have no reason to think he's happy with the loss.

and i have stated that we played hard and was pleased with everyone's efforts but moral victory sounding threads are almost as bad as the one bop started.

It's the way we lost. 2012 UT Bama was over 5min into the 3rd quarter, this game wasn't till about 15sec left.

It's the best Florida team since they had Noah and Brewer. This isn't the team we were beating the past two years.

It's the exact same team we've been beating for two years. Lmao!

They're just a year older.

You may be the most clueless poster here.

Yet like Dooley, has nothing to show for it. All I am saying is we can't use the Florida is number one team excuse when we have the most talent on our roster since 2008 year.

I'm not happy that we lost, in fact my hopes were probably up too high when we led by 10. But this loss wasn't Cuonzo's fault or the players fault, it was just Florida proving again that they are the best team in the nation this year. So with that said, it's not all bad.

Ok, a bit contradictory, but ok.

I'm not gonna jump on anyone's case as long they're being reasonable. I have agreed with pessimistic assessments, and I have called out unwarranted optimistic assessments. What's important is accuracy and reasonableness.

I've just never understood why some people ignore the middle-ground.

Just say "yeah team" thanks for playing hard....We probably made a better game of it than 60 of the other NCAA bound teams could....

Florida is the #1 team in the nation. Anyone who expected a win going in isn't very realistic. We gave them a good ballgame and didn't roll over and allow them to blow us out. Sure there were offensive issues galore, but many of those came from UF's defense. The way we played today is good enough to beat many NCAA tournament teams. Go Vols, keep your heads held high!

New we could win but wasn't expecting a win. Bottom line on this game is more firepower. Get's you wins.

And having four seniors in your starting lineup means nothing to you! You might be a tad bit clueless yourself.

Hopefully our big win comes in the dance. We might not beat UF but there are plenty of top seeds we would beat

Matchups will be key. If we play a team with a good PG we could be in trouble. Our PG play is usually below average at best.

I wasnt jumping his case but one of these threads occurs after every semi- close football loss too
