Props to young team and apology to Hurd

I said Lane would start til the end. I knew he would be great but just thought Lane would be good enough with a young OL to stay slightly ahead.

Its crazy how well this young team is playing right now. They are playing lights out and the OL looked better. The truth is UT shouldnt be in the same league as OU or UGA right now. Jones has this team ahead of themselves. I honestly (finally) expect a win next week. I've not seen such a youngg team play with such discipline (was too many penalties today) and toughness and the defense could have been gassed when Worley went out and the O did nothing but they didnt.
This team didn't lose due to bad playcalling (sorry) or dumb/bad plays by vetern players who suck. A backup QB and a great future Heisman candidate cost us the game. Very very soon you wont see those newbie mistakes.
They won't but what's crazy is they could still win the East. Again I said they won't but that shows you how well they're playing and how weak the conf is. Hats off to the million young guys who play for my Vols. Gonna be good real soon!

I agree 100%...We are on our way and this young team is doing everything they can to win and I believe they will do a lot of that before they leave UT...Remember We have a hell of a recruiting class coming in this next season so the future is very very bright...just be patient and let these kids grow.

Exaclty people are tired of losing but this isn't a veteran team that sucks this is such a young team playing WAY ahead of their time collectively.

agree 100%. no one gave us a chance and we kept it there the whole game. We're just going to be nasty the next couple years.

I agree! Really tired of reading how our OL sucks. I posted this in another thread but our offense scored more than 30 points. Hurd deep into the 4th quarter was outrushing Gurley, he reached a 100 yds before Gurley did! By the way the Dawg offense scored less than 30 points with Gurley. We are getting better and our OL does not suck if offensive points mean anything to anybody.

Great point they played alot better kinda hit or miss but gave us a chance. Can't help it 4 fumbles all bounced UGAs way.

I love that Richt gave TN it's props by saying those guys are warriors. He's right. CBJ has instilled a mindset of never give up. We are on our way back. It's just a matter of time.

Good post. As a fan base we need to rally around this team and Jalen. The kid was lights out today except for the unfortunate fumble but he will be fine. Gotta remember this time last year he was in high school.
