Props to JG

I predicted that Pruitt wouldn't listen to the mob, that he would play JG and JG would have the best game of his career. Shrout, Jennings, Callaway and the defense were also amazing.
Yeah, things people were saying was crazy. I know he screwed up royally on the one play, but to think he had checked out was insane.

All 3 that played QB did play well.

JG did well and I hope he can help us keep getting WINS the rest of this season.

VFL...GBO!!!

This kid has played terrible all season and lost the confidence from the fans possibly the team. Tonight this kid played lights out and deserves a ton of praise. Good job JG!!!
I disagree that he has played terrible all season. Has he made mistakes? Yes, but he has played hard and improved in spite of withering criticism. He deserves more than a back handed compliment.

I was thinking about starting an appreciation thread for him myself. After he did what he did on the 1 yard line that ended our chance in that game, and the heat he took for it, I thought he was done. Both mentally and as qb.
Then he steps in and plays as great a game as he did today, kudos to him. Way to go young man.

Good to see the young man get out there and give it his all. Great life lesson and I hope he continues to improve. Took a nasty late hit and got hurt but was right there cheering on his team. If anyone booed him before I hope you feel like ish now.

Couldn't agree more. Interesting how Pruitt 's public comments were targeted at exactly this situation where he was going to need JG to win a game. Glad he stepped up when he was really needed. Today was his "Best of Times".

Yep. That was the antithesis off “mentally weak” that some say he is.

Should have been called roughing the passer. On the same play Jennings was hit late in the end zone. SEC officials are laughable at best.

It’s so bad now on both NCAA and pro. I just don’t get it.

I was as anti-JG as anyone, especially after last Saturday. But, I was so moved by JG's performance, tonight, that I had tears in my eyes.
How much character it must take, to rebound from last week?
JG has a huge heart. I am so proud of him, and equally proud of the way he performed, when called upon.
Thanks to all of The Vol Nation, for not booing him. Good show!
JG laid it all on the field tonight. He was decisive and on-time. He gambled, and trusted his ability, his receivers, his blocking, and his coaches. I just hope he is ok.
