The defense wouldn't have a chance to make subs in most late game situations because most teams wouldn't be so confused as to have substitution mistakes. That's UNC's fault. Therefore, refs should have stepped over ball. UNC would never had time to correct THEIR mistake.

I believe this team will be famous forever for the LSU and UNC games. Being similarly screwed twice in one incredibly, unbelievably, impossibly lousy season has to be a gazillion to one odds.

Yes they can if the offensive team is making substitutions, UNC ran off players & the holder & kicker ran onto the field & were in place for FG attempt when Yates hiked the ball & spiked it.

1st rule violation was the official never stood over the ball & let the defense have adequate time to substitute

2nd rule violation was UNC have more than 11 players participate on the play.

3rd rule violation was the head offical declaring the game over, once that happens they cant go back & review anything or put more time on the clock the game is officially over.

At first I thought this thread was goofy, but Wes Rucker just tweeted Section 1 Article 3b of the NCAA rulebook that that states
"b.The game is ended and the score is final when the referee so declares."

This. It was one of the most horrible games to be at. The whole time i'm telling myself "their gonna screw us. Their gonna screw us." And what do you know? They screw us.

This is a hard pill to swallow.

Truer words have never been spoken. especially since the umpire openly said I screwed up. Most refs of any sport whether video confirms they blew a call or not continue to argue what they thought they saw.

Watching games now has become a total cluster fudge. I really think we were better off without replay. Since when do the refs have the power to go back in time and change the outcome of a game. This stinks like hot garbage.

Why did the officials have a conference after the play, discuss it. Then call the game?

To come back mins. later and uncall it?

What made them decide the game was over to begin with?If there was any doubt.

This is obvious. The ref says when the game begins and when it ends. There should never be any revision once it's done. Game Over evidently doesn't mean what I though it meant.

But it shouldn't be over and it disrespects the players not to fight for them.

By any fair measure by the rules we won this game, period.
