Program Tight Lipped

Is this the most secretive any coach has been in history? Seems like there is 0 leaks of info. How do we not know 2 days before the game who has taken the reps at Qb1 this week? Seems like it’s not been like this in a loooooooong time. Fine with me just seems odd. For example Mullen has talked about AR and his injury extensively this week.

You are ignorant, as is Mullen, about the art of warfare, Jwalls. It's well-known that a foe fore-warned is a foe fore-armed.

It's silly. If you had an All American as your QB, you'd know. Yet if you have two marginal QBs possibly starting and somehow that's giving you a super dooper strategic advantage? GTFOH

Maybe the coaches are expecting Dee Beckwith to come out and surprise Florida like Jamal Lewis did against Georgia in 97'.
The rout ensued.

Lewis had over 150 against Ole Miss the week before, so I don’t think Georgia was surprised. 😉

We were talking about it today on the golf course. I saw that somewhere as well.

You probably saw it on this fine forum. There was a post a few days ago implying Milton was starting, but the supposition was based on the depth chart that had just been released, which was basically the same depth chart as the previous 2 weeks, which basically = meaningless

I personally like how JH keeps tight lipped about his players and team, unlike some coaches that run their mouth about everything.
JH seems to have class and cares about his players
Here’s to wishing JH all the success in the world, lord knows Tennessee fans need something positive for a change!
Go Vols

You may be correct but we thought it had been on 247. It seems my recall abilities slip a bit every day. But I assure you - very little I read here is taken as truth😃. Kinda like the national media!

Is it really that important?

We are in week 4, their is film on UT. I watched the games and I don't think Florida's defensive game plan changes based on who is at QB. Probably a lot of cover two, contain the run, force the punt.

Sometimes it's better to just not make "videos" and act like you wanna "shock" the world and just show up for war without all of the bs talk/hype videos involved....it's worls alot better in other words if the young men will literally fight for each other in the war rather than ACT like they want to....

I could've sworn the 2 min drill on volquest they said hooker would probably start because he had taken the most 1st team reps...

I have been thinking and HOPING Bailey is our number 1 qb and was kept under radar until the FL game since Milton took his first snap in a game as a VOL!!! I hope Heupel has been hiding Bailey in the bushes and Bailey throws all over FL to open up the run and UT has more than 500 yards and scores at least 38 vs FL!!!!
Like last year

Why doesn’t Heupel have a Friday press conference??? The silence is deafening!!

From what I gather, Heupel was the same as far as dissemination of information while at UCF too.

To me, it's kind of refreshing...takes me back to what a former boss once told me.
Whenever you are in a meeting or speaking in front of people, use the term WAIT - Why Am I Talking
Don't let yourself get caught up in talking just to fill time or make noise...give your update and move along.

In year 4 here you might see something different, but right now he needs to keep everything clean and tight. It's frustrating when you want to know stuff out of curiosity as a fan, but ultimately this is much better for our culture cleanup that's in process on The Hill.
