Senior quarterback Erik Ainge was sporting a bit of a limp after practice but told coaches he was only sore from a new pair of shoes that had yet to broken in.

I dont buy it. I think the knee might not be 100%. Of course I also think that Castro was on the grassy knoll.

New shoes are taking a toll this August. First, Timmy takes a header, now this....

FWIW....I just got off of the phone with my buddy who works closely with some of the players. It is most definitely the shoes....and it's not just with Ainge. The Adidas shoes are apparently a big problem this year.

At least I'll be able to direct my hostilities towards a pair of shoes rather than an intangible perfect storm come December.

Maybe the university should look into voiding said Adidas contract and see if Nike shoes are more soothing...GET WITH IT ADIDAS...we don't need another excuse if things don't go well.

I remember last year Erik having to wear a special kind of cleats because he's feet were so bad from playing basketball for so many years
