It's based on a 2009 Novel of the same name written by Seth Grahame-Smith who also wrote the book Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter if you didn't notice this film is co-written by David O. Russell yes the same guy who recently wrote or co-wrote and directed Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and the upcoming film Joy that surprise stars Jennifer Lawrence & Bradley Cooper.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is also being produced by Natalie Portman.
