Pretender

Look, if you are having a hard time seeing that we are clearly a better team today than we were when CBJ you need personal help.
I am just as disappointed as everyone else. We had the lead at half and then turned the ball over for the first time this year in the second half.
We are clearly better than we were. Especially on the on the defensive side of the ball.

I'm still high on the team as a whole, D played great. I'm mystified that we don't have any other options at qb, fire Weinke I guess?

Orange colored glasses removed. We are still pretenders. We still played one half of a game. One half of team played.
One player made the difference from losing big vs losing respectable or possibly stealing a win. We were in a perfect position with the ball and huge momentum. One player threw it all away in three consecutive drives.

Yayyyyy!!! We're technically better than the worst team that Tennessee has ever had. We should be celebrating since we didn't lose by 50!

Whatever, CBJ beat Ga twice, JP can't even keep it close.

Nice try at scapegoating, while not giving Georgia's defense any credit whatsoever.

There was a lot going on tonight. LoS was owned by UGA on both sides of the ball; and, our QB has to get the ball out faster, which puts even more pressure on the receivers to run the route perfectly and get separation.

Didn't even address the depth, strength, and conditioning issues on D, but there are deficiencies there, too.

Too many pieces still out of place to beat a top-10 opponent, or to be in the top-10.

Georgia is a top 5 team in the country. There is a big talent gap between Clemson, Bama, OSU, UGA, and everyone else.

So what is plan B for QB? Are we really That poor at qb depth to not even pull JG for a single series? What if he gets injured? Do we just cancel the rest of the season? There is no excuse in year three of a coaching tenure to not have a backup reliable enough to play at least a single snap. Are the Backups really THAT BAD?

We are beating the teams we should be beating and working our way towards the elite teams in the league.
We're not where we all want to be, but we're far and away better than we were since Dobbs play covered up for how bad we were even then.

I gave Georgia credit specifically in other posts but Bennett If he faced the same D would have made some plays. JG after 5 years proceeded to have the following negative plays in almost consecutive possessions.
1) strip fumble, JG move to the left carrying the ball in one hand.
2) Throws late and off his back foot for an easy interception.
3) strip fumble again carrying the ball with one hand. We luckily recovered.
4) sack and stripped from the backside and the fumble was returned for a touchdown. JG had plenty of time to make a decision. He should of known backside pressure was coming. This is pathetic for a Qb who has been in the program 5 years. I was ready to crown him after the 1st half. Look what happened.

We're an average team in the SEC. It's an improvement from bottom feeder but damn. Not much progress has been made on UGA. What like 6 points or something?

I’m not defending Butch as better than Pruitt, I’m just pointing out that Butch did at least get a competent QB on campus and got him on the field. That’s more than Pruitt has done since he’s been here. Also, this is Pruitt’s 10th loss by 21 points or more to one of our big 3 rivals. Not exactly a ringing endorsement so far of his head coaching abilities.
