How much is Preston Williams impressing Tennessee coaches and teammates these days? They’re finally calling him by his real name again.

Williams’ coaches and fellow wide receivers called him “Phillip” much of last season, saying sometimes he looked like Preston Williams and sometimes he looked like some random guy named Phillip Williams.

Now that Williams is finally starting to look like the five-star prospect 247Sports’ analysts labeled him two years ago, though, he gets to go by “Preston” on a daily basis.

Vols' Williams finally good enough for real name

Personally, I think this is hilarious and also a great example of the team developing some Butch Jones-isms.

They are using peer pressure and humor to motivate their teammates. I love it.

Beats the heck out of Dooley dragging around an orange dog statue to get his guys to give effort.

So the current name is a step up based on performance. Maybe one day he'll be know by a flashy nickname. P Willis or something. When the coaches start using your nickname you've arrived

Or move the chains on a critical drive against UGA by catching the ball after slipping to the ground..... oh wait:crazy:

Between him and his little brother Latrell, I think we'll have some serious deep ball threats this year.
