Preston Williams leaving (John Brice confirmed)

you don't poor mouth the kid. i don't like it any more than some of you do. but in the end, he has to do what he thinks (w/or w/out any foresight to what the very near future may hold for him here) is best for him.

personally, i figured he'd be a big part of the offense next year...

but looks like he won't be now. so i just say thanks and wish you the best.

I wanted to see more of him this year. Thanks for all of the time and effort good luck in the future.

"He is doing what is best for himself and you have to respect that". That is nonsense, this me first attitude is what is wrong with a lot of players these days. He signed on to be part of a team. He didn't sign on to play golf, tennis, wrestling, etc. Those are individual sports where one players decision doesn't necessarily impact the results of other players. If every football player decided to do what was best for them there would be dozens of transfers within any given conference every year. There aren't and that is because most players realize that it takes hard work and commitment to excel at any sport, not quit when things get hard.

You really like having Kamara as a Vol though, don't you?

C'mon, Press. You could be a hero here. Fans love you.

The best business deals I ever made were the ones I didn't make. This is a bad move for you. Think about it some more.

Your team is playing #1 and defending NC Alabama. You belong there.

Leaving before your team plays the #1 team in the country tells you all you need to know!!!

Leaving now does nothing to help him (you can't transfer right now anyway). If you aren't getting the touches you want, you can still hang on until the season is over, it doesn't help you in any way to quit now.

That is a chicken *^*^ move...... tells us all we need to know about him and his mind set.
I couldn't agree with you more!!! Someone posted earlier that he was a VFL. VFL my ass!!! Quitting on your team right before the Bama game mid-season is not what a VFL would do!!! PERIOD!!! See yaa.....Oh wait, nobody will probably ever hear your name again, so nvm. SMH

Again, Kamara didn't quit on his team mid season. And part of growing up is realizing there's fallout with some of the decisions that people make. Part of the problem with society is that people give 'kids' a pass on certain choices that weren't given a pass years ago. That's why you see attitudes like you see with kids these days. They are soft and don't want to work for anything. Then some other pansy jumps in and tells others to leave the kid alone. The supposed kid never learns anything and continues with his poor behavior. Somewhere along the way, poor choices have to be called out or that same kid will make them his entire life. Basically stop coddling these guys.

I have to agree with you on this point. It is kinda shady to bail out on your teamates in the middle of the season, especially like you said, heading into our biggest rilvary game!

Heard jimmy hyams say that transfer papers have not been signed yet. So he could change his mind. For example sherion jones. But we'll see.

His life and he can do what he wants. Some of you guys need to get a grip. Oh, boo-f'n-hoo because he quit your favorite football team. Tell me how this impacts your life again?

Lol you and your cute insults. You're wrong here, but it's ok. We can still love the Vols together. GBO

If you took your failed point as an insult, them's the breaks. That you thought it was attractive probably helped the taste. :)

Jennings posted this.

Can someone translate for bad eyesight? Can't read it.

Old guy needs translation... :ermm:

Lol...me too

I can read it but I still need someone to translate too. Lol

I will try. Original text in its entirety:

u_aintjj N yu to feel entitled is disrespectful..... ain't no love in dis **** ! How yu expect my time n Yu ain't help me grind for dis **** !

I do say ole chap! Please allow me to endeavor to levy an assertion. Wherein you errantly suppose you are a reasonable facsimile of myself, the very suggestion that you inherently deserve any quantity of unearned dispensation is a prospect I find to be, by its very nature, quite indecorous. These sentiments hitherto would have been commiserated between us as associates, you may now regard them vituperations commensurate with an adversary. By what absurd abstraction do you intimate the invidious presumption that my occasions of Saturday gridiron undertakings ought to be freely transferred to you? For you have not been discharged of the common burden of the practice-field drudgery we have all long endured. As a further matter, you have dispensed no amount of succor to overcome the difficult work necessitated for this opportunity.

This kinda infuriates me. Hard to blame him. The last time Butch had a receiver get a 1000 yards under him was in 2010 at Cincy when Armon Binns got 1100. Preston has the build and the talent, so it kinda sucks if he does leave. But we run the ball a lot, and when we do pass it, we spread the ball around too much for anyone to statistically stand out at WR.

That very same game plan works well for Alabama wouldn't you say? It seems that with Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram and many other talented running backs Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and many other talented wide receivers have done very well for themselves at that school.

Poor decision. Only a Sophomore. Keep working kid we could all see the potential. Immature.

If that's what you got out of this thread, then your handle definitely fits the stereotype.
