Wouldn't a press conference scheduled for noon today be announced by now?

It's hard time have a press conference if the press doesn't have time to get there. I'll hang up and listen...

Nothing, itwas more of a question than anything. When the coach knows he's being let go, there's no need in waiting till 11:45 to announce a noon presser. Put out the call at 9 and get everyone assembled.

Am I missing something?

I doubt Dooley returns and I seriously doubt gruden coaches here. Let's be realistic, gruden hasnt coached in college since the early 90s.

DD will be Coaching UT in 2013. Please move on with your life. Gruden is not coming to UT.

You are a troll and just as bad as the people who keep up the false rumors. If you believe Dooley will not be fired you have no use being in this sub-forum. Go back to the Football forum troll.

Thanks deez and gramps.

I assume the thought is that he announces then. For the record, I have no idea what's going to happen. Just waiting along with everyone else. Appreciate the info. *thumbs up*

Actually, this is the Coaching Rumors and Speculation forum.

He is speculating that Dooley will be the HFC next year.

This is the appropriate subforum.

I cant wait until all the 'sources inside the AD' news comes crashing down today. Its going to be hilarious watching all the people get just blown away that all this news could be false. What, impossible?

I have no idea if DD will be coach next year or not (I would like to think not), and I never claimed insider info. What I do know is anyone that states something is a 'fact' in this forum doesn't know what they are talking about.

No one should've believed the press conference thing today. They deserve to be disappointed if they did. In the end it will be a long month of November, but we will not know anything until after UK (unless Dooley loses one of these games). If Dooley is coaching the bowl game he will be here in 2013.

If Gruden is wrapped up there isn't much sense in firing your head coach right away when you don't have any discernible interim candidates on the current staff.

I disagree. They owe it to the fan base, which has been thoroughly beaten down over the AD's missteps over the past 5 seasons. We need a jolt, and a Gruden announcement would do that. And that would translate in more butts in the seats through the end of this season, more dollars spent on concessions and merchandise, etc.

Let a Charlie Coiner coached team lose to Vandy and Mizzou and you would be singing a different tune
