I still don't get how you take a commitment from a kid the day before you do this, plus have your huge press conference claiming this is the place you want to be, then take a lesser job.

Sounds to me like he got greedy and Hart told him to pack his ****.

This is absolutely insane. My guess is that Cuonzo wanted a bigger raise than Hart was willing to give. Will be interesting to see what Cal's gonna pay him.

Now, who we gonna get?

Simple, the perception is out there that Cuonzo was never accepted because he was black. If you listen to the sports talk shows on the radio, the callers who were African American complained that it wasn't his coaching that was unpopular, it was his race.

The majority of the D-1 prospects are black. Other coaches are going to go into their living rooms and say, "Do you really want to go there?"

True or not, perception is reality for a lot of people.

Not true. If UT wants a better coach and spends the money they will upgrade. If they don't, they won't. No successful coach concerns themselves with theatrics of fans or what an average coach did in front of them.

Cuonzo wasn't accepted by this fan base because he didn't win enough. Fans never saw a future with him. Has nothing to do with his race.

And now they claim the honorable cuonzo didn't even tell his team to their faces. Cowardly move. Even kiffin did that much.
