Press Conference (Merged)

Listening to Fulmer today made me realize how big of an idiot Mike Hamilton must be to build in such a huge buyout.

With all of the talk of him bleeding orange, being Tennessee football... the likelihood of him ever leaving on his own accord is slim to none.

Thanks for blowing $6 million for a buddy, Hamilton. He should be sacked, too.

While you'll be hard-pressed to find backers on the Fulmer contract decision, Hamilton has something big going for him in Tennessee basketball. If we make the right hire for Head Football Coach (which I think we will), he'll be fine.

I saw a broken man. A man who just had what he loved most taken from him. No one can ever say that Phil Fulmer didn't give his all for UT. Proof was the look on his face and the sound of his voice.

However, we all know this had to happen. It's just incredibly sad to see it finally take place. It's like putting down a dog you've loved for years just to end it's suffering....

Does anyone have the footage of the players talking during the press conference? I can't find it

Is that a player with the blue sweatshirt who is clapping for Fulmer and wont sit down until told to do so???? He seems happy that Fulmer is leaving.

how many of you cried during the PC? I did not openly weep but I did tear up when he got emotional. I am excited about moving forward BUT I did think back to some of the great games under CPF. He was responsible for one of the funnest nights of my life. The night in Tempe after the NC game. We partied till dawn.:cray:

you can see them on the video that was posted above, just click on the arrow in the bottom right corner while the video is playing and it will pull up other little windows.

I just watched a small part of the press conference and have to admit, My heart is truly aching for him right now...Although I believe the change was required, it's hard to see a guy who loves this school so much getting choked up like that...It really breaks your heart...He's such a class act, He even volunteered to help the replacement coach if needed...Now that my friends is class and dedication.

I teared up a little...I admit it

After 2005, everyone knew Fulmer had to show he had turned things around, and it looked like he might have turned the corner last year, but Cutcliffe left and the wheels came off. Coaching is a tough business, thats why they get paid what they do, to produce.

I just watched Foster and Berry talk about CPF and it really must be hard for them.
