The could reiterate the things they have done and are continuing to do.

Exactly and I think the case of Von Pearson (which is mentioned in the lawsuit) is a good example that things are being handled appropriately when there is alleged criminal conduct to have occurred involving an athlete.

Sorry to be repetitive but a 'commercial' for the news at 10 said
"the latest on the UT lawsuit as more plaintiffs come forward"

Anyone heard anything?

Held accountable is a good choice of words in my opinion. Students, all of them whether male, female, athlete, band student, etc., should be held accountable for the choices they make.

And so should the administrators in charge of handling these issues. Jones can suspend a kid from the football team, but he doesn't or shouldn't have any say with regards to whether the University decides to suspend someone from school.

A clear question here would be why were athletes treated differently even though they were accused of similar things. Some allowed to remain in school, even graduate while others are suspended from school which could cause them to be athletically ineligible...One guy is kicked off the football team, but is still in school another is suspended from the football team and also suspended from school.

These are a few of the questions to go along with, is the University doing everything it can, the right way, to support those who come forward and make an allegation.

Here's something I had a question about. When Moshak and Jennings settled their cases with UT, the amount was in the neighborhood of $300,000. Given the AD's budget is over 100 Million, I thought that was getting off light.

What was pointed out to me was the Government Tort Liability Act which places a $300,00 cap on what a state employee can be rewarded in a case like this. Naughright was $300,000 as well. That's the max.

This will not be the case with the federal lawsuit we're discussing here.

Actually, Von is conspicuously, NOT mentioned in the lawsuit.

Lee Smith, maybe a good boy, but inappropriate decisions -- booted. Wisconsin DE freshman who made inappropriate remarks to mom and daughter -- booted. Paulk -- booted. Pearson -- suspended for several critical months until cleared. A.J., etc. ... I would say we've done a bit of "policing" in recent years.

No need to go into details defending false allegations. Show a united front, talk about the procedures that have been followed, make a commitment to fight this in court for the greater good and double down on the resolve to not settle.

Out of the top 25 for the first time in 585 weeks.

Were we really in the top 25 for more than 11 consecutive years?!? If so, HW HAS to go!!! As soon as she gets (Her) players, we are at our weakest point in over a decade (Coincidence)!?!

And if we was FSU or Auburn all those guys would have not missed a game. Seems unfair at times if person is innocent but I would have been fired from my job if accused of those things in a heartbeat. Butch went above and beyond.

Did it occur to anyone that perhaps this press conference may have absolutely nothing to do with what everyone thinks it is about? Not saying it is not about the lawsuit, but just suggesting it might be something else.

However, if they open the floor to questions, I am sure some media member present will bring it up.

Just as the football program seemingly turns a corner , all this comes out! Hopefully it can be handled correctly and all of this can be resolved so all parties can move forward. .

31 years, each for a few months when they're playing basketball, so it's not quite the same to multiply 31 by 52.

I disagree. If you ask who the #1 CF team is. It's Alabama until someone beats them or the next poll changes that....whether it's FB season or not.:hi:
