Funny I see this here, because I've been hearing rumors of a press conference about Fulmer announcing retirement after the season is over. I've heard this from several people throughout the day. I doubt there is any substance to it, but we can dream. It would definitely help get the team up.

Probably just announcing a 10-percent discount on those replica '98 Sears' trophies they are peddaling. Anyone bought one of those?

It's a sure-fire way to get the team behind him, and the the fanbase in full support of him.

Neyland would be electric and filled to capacity on Saturday if Phil announced his retirement this week.

That said, I don't see it happening.

I thought the exact same thing after the win Sat. night. It a'int happening because it would make too much sense and you all know that our coaches don't make a whole lot of that. (Sense)

Hamilton will announce he is giving a lifetime contract to Phil Fulmer after that outstanding win over a powerful Miss State team. The contract will run into perpetuity.

I heard this rumor on Saturday that Monday he would be resigning.........I am not gonna mention the source but was very interesting........
