I used to think the flag represented the country. Now, I look at it like a bald eagle, or apple pie. It is a symbol for America. That may be a small distinction to some.

I do not see a perceived weakness for protecting the flag as an inherent weakness for protecting American people. The flag stands as a symbol for different things depending on the person looking at it.
For me, it is freedom, liberty, and individualism. For others it represents military aggression and greed. Attacking the flag is attacking those traits. Not an attack on all people.

I understand your perspective. I was simply sharing how the flag as a symbol means different things to different people. And those things it symbolizes do not extend to all Americans.
It's not hard to understand regardless of whether you agree with them or not.

Flags can represent different things to different people. I think that's what you're failing to grasp.

For instance, one could say hating an entire city for its political demographics makes someone selectively American. Know what I mean?

Realizing all of the ignorant votes cast each cycle don’t even register with me anymore. But I’ve run out of patience with these smooth brained lapdogs parroting obviously incorrect rhetoric and see no reason to abide by their idiotic lecturing.

ETA my favorite thing to mock right now is the whataboutism deflection to something Biden did as justification why it’s ok for Trump to do something. Biden has always been an idiot so holding him up as a reference bar actually just illustrates how bad whatever Trump is doing also.

I’m absolutely bashing both sides. Biden’s admin was four years of disaster after disaster. Trump’s first six months have been one unforced gaff after another when the table was setup for him to just not screw it up and unleash an economic boon. The two party system is a complete failure as far as I’m concerned at this point.

Dude I’m fine. I am usually laughing my ass off reading post after post on here where people are willing to shut their brains off and just parrot the daily stupidity coming out of DC these days. Or the irritation at me laughing at it. Like for example someone telling me I’m angry or menstrual 😂
