I miscalculated. You'll notice one set of data is during their respective terms. The other set establishes the baseline as the year before they took office. I prefer that method because it doesn't allow for fudging.

Here's your updated data on debt to gdp rate of increase:
Reagan: 79-88, 32% to 50% for a 56% increase
Obama: 07-16, 62% to 105% for a 69% increase.

You can do with that whatever you choose.

It makes more sense to me to go from March of their first year in office to March of their first year out of office.
Reagan 30.7% to 49.9% (62.5% increase)
Obama 80.3% to 102.8% (28% increase)

That paints a far more accurate picture of what actually happened.

Clinton was forced to pivot and was adept at doing so. Gringich was the brains behind the balanced budget. I used to fawn on the idea it was Clinton too until I learned and accepted the truth.

It’s no secret the radical left wants to bring us down. I kept trying to tell people this while Barry was in office, some would tell me oh he’s just so stupid. No he’s not stupid he wants us crushed and they all work daily towards that objective

Newsflash- some of the first people executed in every one of these situations (when they hit the boiling point) have always, always been the useful idiots that backed the movement in the first place.

Using those parameters:
The debt increased 65% with Reagan = 1.859 Trillion
The debt increased 48% with Obama = 10.809 Trillion.
GDP grew 43% with Reagan = 2.47 Trillion
GDP grew 26% with Obama = 5.24 Trillion.
