President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Look at France..having to cut pensions and the whinefest. I think they average beret Frenchie gets like 12 weeks vacation per year.

I wonder if anyone has studied the relationship between economic failure (and not ethnicity) but culture. Just on the surface it sure looks like there's a correlation between economic distress whether debt or high inflation and Latin cultures (not sure France and Greece fit culturally) but geographically they are close enough and do fit the profile. It's always seemed that the more northern European countries perhaps with the exception of Great Britain (since the 50s) are more culturally and fiscally sound ... and fortunately we tended to be derived from those saner and more responsible folks ... while it lasted. You look above and below the Mexican border, consider economic state, economic development, national origin, and you see a trend not unlike northern and southern Europe. Sure makes you wonder.

Wow..worse than I thought. Very close to our national debt. Utter absolute failure and the radicals just throw more money at the issue. Like I said, they dont care..keeps them on the Plantation.

Seems like the War on Poverty was a bad idea with a predictably bad outcome. The chart shows poverty was well into decline before the "war" was begun, and that doesn't speak well of the unintended consequences spawned by another ill considered liberal flight of fancy.

When productivity drops and wages don't follow, then the outcome will be inflation since the cost per unit of labor has increased while output decreased. Given the timespan, this is a particularly bad look - like worker culture/diligence and/or regulatory issues rather than supply chain problems.

Just like where I worked, these new younger workers are not productive at all. Whether ethic or experience. For all the angst Ras and others give to the Boomers, their world is gonna be in deep **** as we retire.

Our VP Giggle Box is working her ass off for the American people today .... so proud.
Has anyone ever told her there's CD tapes of these albums she holds in her big hands?

The war on poverty is one of the most destructive things that the U.S. government has ever done. Not only does it make not bettering yourself lucrative, but it leads to a sharp rise in crime. Idle hands are the devils work shop.

Really? Scandinavian countries have done quite well with social-democratic governments and policies. You are opposed to farm subsidies, I presume?

True, the Nordic countries seem to be doing well but you have to look at some factors that are influencing their prosperity like low population and migration, and a homogenous culture.

Like all programs that have been in place for a while, farm subsidies should be looked at and possibly revamped. The original intent was to protect the nations food supply during the time of the Great Depression.

They’re all about free s***, alphabet pandering, and race baiting.

Exactly. Except for racial pandering what difference does an anti-lynching bill make when it's murder and fully covered by existing laws. Funny how most laws (including those on this list) have names that disguise what they really are, but "anti-lynching" sticks right out there as racist as you can get ... racist because it's a bold statement that "only white people can be racist".

If not for the war on poverty, we might never have needed a war on drugs.

Although I'm conservative, I'm not dead set against some farm subsidies, and I'm certainly not an expert of the subject either. However, if subsidies work to make markets more stable for farmers, then I see that as a good thing - with weather and plenty of other uncertainties, it seems farmers can use any stability they can find. It was always my understanding that commodities markets came about to help stabilize markets and prices to help farmers with crop choices ... at least before those markets simply became gambling platforms for speculators to ramp up prices on things like oil.

Not cutting pensions but raising the retirement age to 64. What's ours?
They do get a lot more vacation time than us. What a failure.
