President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Ford priced themselves out of being an option for us a few years ago. Would much rather have stuck with Ford but just can't justify the difference in prices.

Still won't buy a Dodge.

What truck did you guys go with?

As well it shouldn't. Ford employs almost 90,000 Americans. Good for any President to highlight their growth
LOL. Such a child.

McD: Biden is promoting Ford.
PC: Nah he not. Promoting american innovation.
McD: Coincidental he and Ds get donations from Ford foundation.
PC: Conspiratorial.
McD: In public.
PC: It's good for the president to promote Ford, they employ 90k ppl.
McD:

Surprise! Potato in Chief is not even driving!

One wonders if Biden is even capable of driving anymore. If the man can't manage steps, can he manage pedals which control the vehicle?

Technology of all kinds, medical, automotive, and designing machines.
I will give you medical, a lot of the machinery these days is metric, designed elsewhere. Automotive is not what it used to be, did America really lead innovation on electric vehicles?

Pharmaceuticals and software engineering probably the biggest examples

The US still leads the world in patent activity and the number of high-tech start ups
Medical and software engineering I'll give you. Though we are going to be outpaced on the latter in time. Patents may become worth as much as the paper they are printed on. The worlds debtors willfully steal intellectual property with no real recourse.

We still design the machines that make the machines and then they are made oversees.

So that’s a no on software engineering. That’s a very portable discipline and is competitive around the world. We’re very good at it. So are others.

We’re better at hardware engineering but China offsets that by just stealing us blind.

Chevy/GMC for our 1 ton trucks. I got a Nissan Titan XD with the Cummins for my daily driver.

Have you had quality issues with the Chevy products? I’ve been considering getting a Tahoe but a few people have shared some quality issues they’ve had with them which is making me a little reluctant.

All of ours are the Duramax diesels and we've had the usual problems out of the emissions crap the EPA requires. Other than that they have been on par with our experience with Ford as far as reliability goes. My wife has a 2017 Acadia (closet thing to a Tahoe I have experience with) and the transmission had to be replaced at about 50k miles. I don't know how reliable the info is but I was told there were problems with that model year transmission.

Thanks for the info - that’s the exact problem I have been told from a friend of mine. Blown transmission at less than 50k miles. Also shared issues with engine knocking that could not be resolved.

I had a surburban. My first US brand car I purchased in my life. I like hondas and toyotas.

Worst mistake ever. Unreliable. Engine gone at 180k. Odd thing is a lot of folks say those machines are tanks.
