President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

As a representative of "democracy", yes.
Then why are we worried what the ME Clampetts think of us? If we were truly worried about democracy we would be hauling them in front of a war crimes court. I'm not sure I understand why what they think of us would matter to anyone. I hope they think we're terrible since our stated values, the ones you're so worried about, are in direct opposition to theirs

I don't know that, but obviously that would have been the risk.
I think Biden is a fart in the wind leader. I don't think he's leading on anything, he's being led. Harris would be much the same but has no substance/presence.

I'm not sure what the agenda those pulling the strings have in mind but it certainly appears there is zero long term strategy and they are only looking at short term return.

I wouldn't fault Biden here, the western states water demand vs the supply isn't sustainable........ And it's been known for at least a decade.
It's the classic example of recognizing a future problem and deciding when and how to address it.
We all to often ignore the problem in the name of short term ease until it becomes a crisis.
One of our country's biggest issues is the obsession of short term over long term.
(the next election, the next quarterly report, the immediate impact on my wallet or my taxes, etc...)

I didn't want Biden.
I didn't vote for Biden in the primary.
I said invoke the 25th as soon as he was sworn in.
I've said I hope he doesn't run in '24.
I've said I would not vote for him in the '24 primary.
I've said I will 100% vote for him again if he runs against Trump or DeSantis.
What a good little America hating communist you are.

They're executing a genocide and we're the loose cannon?

You don’t think the US has been involved in mass murder? Possibly not something that rises to the level of genocide but we’re a dirty ass country. Trying to kill Bob Marley is enough for me.

I do but I'm not the one claiming our lack of values is driving away the Saudis

We tried to kill Bob Marley?

Yes sir. He was shot outside of of his home in the 70s about 4-5 years before he died. One of the docu dumps about 15 years later revealed that the CIA thought he had too much influence over Jamaican society and he supported the Presidential/ Prime Minister candidate that sought closer ties to Cuba.

Wow, I have never heard about that (not surprising) and I'm not shocked in the least.

I get the need/want to transition to electric but the timing is terrible. We have neither the infrastructure, nor the self sufficiency or access to materials needed for this transition without being completely dependant on China, which we have just entered into full blown cold war with.

It's either incompetence or intentional.

I know I’ve brought this up before. But I work for a car manufacturer. Don’t buy and don’t let anyone you love buy an EV. That’s just the bottom line. I can’t get into everything but this is a terrible idea being pushed by groups who have selfish intentions. There’s just no other way for me to really explain it without getting myself in trouble. I’ll say this. They are about 6% of our sales and over 30% of cases where the vehicle is down for two or more months. And when it goes down, the dealer is giving you a gas powered loaner for 3 months. Just don’t do it.

I don't get the need or want. There is no benefit as far as I'm concerned

Biden acts like someone who hit a swinging bunt, the defense suffered simultaneous heart attacks and committed a dozen errors, but when he found third base after the umpires guided him around first and second, thinks he hit a triple.

It is cleaner, but there are other issues that need worked out.
it's not cleaner when you consider the production of the batteries, minerals required for production, disposal of batteries that are expired, and that the electricity that is required to charge these things is mostly produced by coal

Biden really only ever had one expectation, and that was to beat Trump. He passed that one with an A+.

So a better analogy would be that Biden executed the squeeze bunt that scored the winning run.

Yeah, something tells me the DOE was not involved in any discussions about the strain on the electrical grid that comes from all these electric vehicles.
