President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

The Trump Administration promotes division and political partisanship throughout society, even in places it doesn't have to exist, and shouldn't exist.

Every item is turned political now, with everyone involved forced to pick a side. You can't just be a neutral observer who wants whatever is best for the country as a whole. There must be a winner and a loser.

Now? As in this has been a recent phenomenon?

Examples cannot be provided for healthcare denied for shutdown that just happened.

We could search for data from previous shutdowns, though.

I'd settle for any examples of illegal immigrant children being denied healthcare. Heck, wasn't there a recent hullaboo about how an illegal shouldn't be deported because her child was receiving cancer treatments?

No kid is being denied Healthcare. Its one of those boogie men//slippery slope leftist arguments. To paraphrase Paul Harvey "the rest of the story" typically involves the facts that show a person's woes are all self inflicted.

SIAP

We've been gaslighted to the point that even a racist, expletive-laden, horrifically childish and base post of a deep-fake video by our President just seems par for the course.

For those here that voted to put this child back in the White House, congratulations.

It seems we're under the old Chinese curse 'may you live in interesting times'.

Trump continues his unhinged campaign to divide Americans.

Our Founding Fathers would look at us all as a population:

"We fought to give you a republic, unparalleled freedoms and the ability to pursue happiness and you elect THIS pathetic excuse for a human being who WANTS to divide our populous?" [collective head shakes in disgust]
"But enough about Soetoro."

Heh. Pretty much the response I expected.

Sadly, most MAGA cultists' low intelligence is matched only by their disregard for any semblance of a decent, civilized society.

I will give you credit though... by going with an animated gif, you avoided the arduous task of having to write a sentence... which I know can be challenging.

If funding for legal non citizen immigrants is not approved, will that not put a strain on hospital ERs?

Part of the process to become a legal immigrant is to prove you will not need government assistance. Sure there may be some exceptions for refugees but otherwise if they are legal immigrants and need government assistance they have violated the terms of their immigration.

I actually had experience with this recently. One of my younger patients had flown to Mexico to visit family and contracted RSV. He was quite sick, low oxygen sats, wheezing, needed admission, breathing treatments, supplemental O2. The parents were told they would need to pay something like $10,000 up front before the hospital could admit and start treatment.

Mom called the airline, got the next ticket to Atlanta, and flew there directly, where he was admitted and spent 3-4 days in the Children's hospital.

Definitely an eye-opener... that would never happen in the U.S.
