I ,at one time fell for the "Chicago is unsafe" BS.
After spending a few days with my in laws, I found Chicago to be a safe clean city. A lot to see and do there,some outstanding restaurants.

Trumps Supreme Court has ruled that racial profiling is legal. If you have brown skin, work in low paying or physically demanding jobs its OK for ice to pick you up and detain you. Give you a good beating if they desire.

I've been dozens of times and unless you go looking for trouble, you're fine. This includes plenty of time spent in south side hunting for Italian beef sammiches.

In addition to looking for trouble, being generally stupid will also spell a recipe for disaster, so I could absolutely see why WTNOB would avoid it.

I'll agree with this. In general, sure I love southern cooking and Cajun food, sure...but dang, a lot of those yankees way up north sure can cook. Some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten has been in Michigan, particularly the Detroit area, Pontiac, Auburn Hills, ect. My theory is that it's so damn cold up there in the winter that there are only two things to do when it's below zero: Drink beer, and cook. So naturally, they just get better and better at both.

If you are ever in the Pontiac, MI area then drop by Lellis. A little pricey but worth it. They serve a small fillet with green beans and mashed potatoes with the bottom of the plate covered in this stuff (Zip Sauce). Absolutely fantastic.

Technically the dog didn’t do anything. Sometimes a dog is all bark. Trump hasn’t done anything to those individuals you mentioned
