My goodness. I didn’t think I’d have to clarify that a 5 year old shouldn’t own a firearm. But my bad, I forgot the idiots I have been debating.

Yes, there are thousands of ADULTS that SHOUDN’T own a firearm. People that can’t legally own a firearm should be incarcerated or institutionalized.

The five year old part was a joke. Non-idiots would have picked up on that.
A lot of people with mental conditions are conditionally fine in society. As long as they're medicated there's no reason to incarcerate them.

No. If you are not mentally competent enough to own a firearm you should not be in society. Sane, law abiding people shouldn’t be punished in the effort to keep mentally ill people from hurting others.

It’s complete BS to restrict the rights of people in order to accommodate people who don’t have the capacity to responsibility exercise their rights.

Nobody would be punished by withholding gun rights to mental patients, other than the patients.

That's very interesting. I mourn their loss as well, but their grief doesn't trump my rights. or yours... or anyone else's. Like I have said. Offer up a solution that you think is workable without shredding the 2A, and I'll listen. Other than that it is just more leftist gun grabbing.

That's an interesting retort. Maybe that should be the standard. Since we (swampy) has chosen to go down the slippery slope, where does it end? Does one's affiliations with someone that breaks the law disqualify them from gun ownership? How about someone that supports those that break the law? How do you enforce that? THAT is the question that the left cannot answer.
