Lindsey Halligan as the US attorney for Eastern Virginia.

Lol, we're about to see the longest sting of DOJ losses in federal court since the department was created.

From the daily mail huh? Gee, that's so top notch reporting going on there.

So apparently, Patel and Bondi were both in on making the Homan scandal go away...the same people who completely switched up on the Epstein files when they were told to.

So the guy (Holman) worked in the Trump 1 admin, and the. Worked as a private consultant and operated a “strong borders” focused business during the Biden Admin.

So agents purporting to be private businessmen then paid 50k to said consultant, at a time when he was a former (but not current) executive branch employee, who said he would “help” them get contracts *if* Trump win election.

I have a hard time seeing the scandal.

“Newsflash: Former government employee leverages connections and experience to get paid an obscene amount of money to *maybe* be able to help his clients *if* his former boss wins an election.”

I can see why the Biden Admin wasn’t willing to charge when it happened.

Homan was of course actually preemptively investigating the "deep state" and knew those were FBI agents that were offering him $50k.

You don't think it's bribery for a private citizen to comit to stearing government contracts to someone for money if they get appointed? Strongly disagree

I didn’t read the articles that way.

I thought he said he’d try to help secure contracts if Trump got re-elected.

Admittedly, I’m reading articles (which may not be fully accurate) on an iPhone (with my old eyes) while the wife is driving down I77 at 10:20 pm, so I may have missed on some of the details.

But if all he did as a consultant was try to leverage his experience, well, that is what former government officials do all the time.

It looks like conspiracy to comit bribery

"Homan was soliciting payments in exchange for awarding contracts should Trump win the presidential election, according to an internal Justice Department summary of the probe"

Homan often accompanied Trump on the campaign trail in 2023 and 2024, and for months before the presidential election publicly touted that he expected to oversee implementation of Trump’s immigration policies.

“Trump comes back in January, I’ll be on his heels coming back, and I will run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen,” Homan said at the National Conservatism Conference in July 2024."

The payments weren't for him to secure the business from Trump. It was to secure business from him as border czar if Trump 2.0 happened

I'm apparently en route to becoming a conspiracy theorist. Do I dare accept these facts and believe the allegation? What to do?
