I suppose it is. But it isn't up to me to forgive him. It's something I do struggle with on a daily basis. Actually I have some empathy for him as a human being but I don't feel at all sorry for him though. He made a choice and he must receive justice.

The rule was created to reduce the risk of head and brain injuries by lowering the speed of the players at impact. There were 43% lower concussions in the 2024 season. So yeah I’d say he’s 100% wrong.

Plus this is a really stupid thing for him to even be focusing on in the first place.

Well Hell why kick off at all then? Let's just put the ball on the 20 and call it good. I argue that the cause and effect is flawed. Do you think an NFL athlete needs a 40 yard running start to get to full speed? That's ridiculous. They are at full speed by the 50 if not long before

But yeah, I guess Trump to have any interests outside running the country makes him an even more horrible person. :rolleyes:

By comparison, a tuned sprinter is at full speed in 3 steps coming off the blocks. That what we were pushed to accomplish, even back in the early 80's.

The bigger point is Trump shouldn’t be wasting time on this anyway. But you asked a question and I gave you the answer. And they have metrics that say it gave them the desired outcome.

I’m not a fan of it either. But I understand why they did it. Trump could have also with a simple google.

I am so happy that they have shortened the game in college ball with all the rules changes. I think the noon game ended right around 3:30, whereas last year it ended about.... um..... 3:30... and the 3:30 games all end earlier as well. Good thing.

But at least I am up to speed on all the new drugs on the market.

And who cares if he opines on this? He doesn't have to be glued to world events 24/7. Soetoro filled out a basketball bracket for cryin out loud and the world held it's breath.

The Vols game this past weekend was well over 3 hrs before OT. They still need to go to the NFL model for time.....no stoppage of clock on first downs, etc

Look you asked a question related to his very idiotic tweet. I answered. And yeah it was idiotic. The NFL has been very open why they changed it. They tested it. And it achieved the desired results.

ALSO if Trump and perhaps you also had read up on the rule you’d know it is multifaceted as the NFL wanted to promote more returns in addition to cutting down on collision injuries. The receiving team now gets the ball at the 35 if the kick is a touchback. And the receiving team must return a kick that lands in the landing zone.

The rule change hasn’t resulted in more returns to date (thus the change this year from 30 to 35 yard line on touchback) but it has cut down significantly on concussions. And that is a good thing.

Obama was asked about his bracket and shared it. He didn’t call the Tourney stupid and opine why they needed to baselessly change the format or the rules. Probably not a good deflection.

There are 3 issues here :

1) The Trump Administration (Donald Trump and Pam Bondi) pledged public transparency with the Epstein files. It's been anything but that. The Biden Administration never made any such pledge.

2) Donald Trump gets very defensive whenever questioned about the Epstein files. Trump responds to those questions as if they are a personal attack against him. Trump has even done this with a Fox News reporter .... but why? It is suspicious. Trump acts like he has something to hide.

3) Donald Trump has also referred to the story itself on social media as being "The Epstein Hoax," as if the controversy is the creation of Democrats and biased left-wing media. However, a majority of the disappointment and anger over the lack of public transparency with the Epstein files has been coming from Trump's own supporters.
