I just don't see how barring people who aren't even citizens from entering the country due to horrendous comments makes the US a totalitarian state. It seems like a huge stretch to me.

I would agree though if people were being rounded up and jailed over such comments. That would definitely fall under the category of "Totalitarian state".

If right-wingers from a foreign country celebrated a left-winger getting assassinated, I would have no problem with their visas being revoked either. That kind of morally repugnant trash needs to be kept out.

Immigration policy is not tied to Communism.

Communism is when the government decides your pay, job, and collectivizes/owns all companies in their company with the goal of evenly distributing wealth among the workers.

On paper, for the poor especially, it sounds nice. However, it isn't practical and has always devolved into dictatorships (that are arguably right-wing) like Stalin's regime in the USSR.

They also tend to control the media, educational system, and output of all information.
