I think it was early March when I first predicted on the PF that Powell wouldn't lower rates in May (when the market was pricing in about a 65% chance of a rate cut at the May meeting at that point in time).

Trump is the only politician I have observed who can be a belligerent a-hole and still be elected. I think it is stupid to try to match that energy. I didn't get the "joke" they were mocking trump's tweets though. But in my defense, I am hamstrung...I don't use Twitter, x, bluesky, or truthsocial...I don't have the tolerance for drama or misrepresentation...and I find nothing compelling posted here from those sites.

I've heard a number of politicians of all stripes and even some residents welcome it. So on the front end it doesn't seem like the issue is whether its a good idea.
