I thought Hershey was made in the USA. Anyway, they already been practicing shrinkflation for years and I noticed it even more so the other day at DG. Those miniature packs they sold 5 for $5 that just a week or 2 ago had 5 little bars now have 4 for the same price. I’m sure there will be cheaper alternatives .

So in an already highly competitive market space you concede they won’t sell at a loss. You assume they can just eat the tariff and lose margins. Their quarterly report already shows that isn’t sustainable. So prices have to go up… right?

It is. All of their raw material is imported however

That isn’t entirely true. Our company has contracts with retailers that we will sell product for $X. Some of our raw material suppliers have been adding a tariff charge. We have no way to pass it on.

He’ll go scorched earth against those he feels have slighted him. He has nothing to lose he’s ran his final political campaign.

And I’m not sure I blame him to a certain degree. The Mar A Lago raid was unprecedented to a large degree. And now he is in a position for payback with minimal opportunity for consequences. And what we’ve seen of his personality says he will act on that I’d guess.
