We have heard that before. These "talks" never lead to any sustained period of ceasefire. Vladimir Putin is jerking Trump around. Trump seems to finally understand that, but it doesn't look like he knows what to do about it.

None, BUT no one even close to what Trump and family have raked in while he's been in office. It really doesn't matter but agreeing to book deals, speaking engagements and sitting on boards afterwards is entirely different than enriching oneself through deals made with the United States. Why in the hell would he take people with him on a diplomatic mission to the Middle East to cut deals for their private businesses while he's there on behalf of the US?

That's true for some since 1960. Maybe even most. Carter, Reagan and W Bush made fortunes with their businesses before entry into politics. None of the others marketed products for them or their families' gain while in office. It's all ok though. As long as his true supporters don't care, and almost all his entire administration is in that group, everyone else either needs to suck it up or ultimately not give 2 shats

Unfortunately, if the emoluments clause of the Constitution is unilaterally mutable depending on who is currently in office, then any part of the Constitution could be argued as such.
