I'll never understand why you liberals don't like to celebrate how freaking bad ass our country is. A couple of weeks ago I heard the unmistakable sound of a Chinook coming went out on the porch and it was a C130 refueling two Chinooks. I'm 45yo I ran out in the yard like I was a kid it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen in person. Our military should be celebrated.

btw - it wasn't an argument so much as it was bemusement at the reaction to the 250th plans. military parade/no military parade = no big deal IMHO - YMMV

Exactly. This isn't about the country. That's the last thing it would be about. It's about indulging the same guy who wants to be added to Mount Rushmore, the same guy who lobbies for a Nobel Peace Prize, and wants his birthday to become a federal holiday and wants his picture on the $100 bill. It's about the guy who turns his cabinet meetings into circle jerking affairs so obvious they should be considered pornographic.

It's all about the ego with Trump.

We donate to the backpack program at a couple elementary schools. Where they send a backpack full of food home with the kids on the weekends. When our daughter was teaching and our friends who teach all say the vast majority of those kids parents pick their kids up smoking a cigarette. Kids tell them they have to hide the food to keep their parents from it when they’re high/drunk.

We don’t have a “food insecurity” problem, we have a ****** parents problem.

Yes. The rest of what you just said is a joke. There is no lack of availability of healthy food. Those who want jobs have no issue finding them. Wages relative to prices have continually improved decade after decade.

Drug addicts neglect their children. That’s a massive problem. Outside of neglect, I doubt you could find a single case of child starvation in this country.
