That is a pitifully weak and completely subservient answer. To answer that question effectively, Vance needs to explain why the American air base in Greenland, now known as Pituffik Space Base, is not enough. Why does the United States need full control of the country? Also, explain why Trump has said that the US "will go as far as we have to," to get control of Greenland. That sounds extreme. Although, Greenland's judiciary, monetary policy, defense and foreign affairs are under Danish control, Greenland has been an autonomous country since 1979. They have their own flag, and language. This shouldn't come down to appeasing the "desires" of one man, who hasn't yet explained his fixation with Greenland himself.

Donald Trump has said much more than that about his interest in Greenland. Trump has said that the United States will "go as far as we have to," to get control of Greenland. Why make such a statement? That sounds like a threat.

I never said Greenland, I said Europe. The real threat to Greenland is Europe not the U.S. The weak countries of the region will have to move fast in the coming years to survive.

You are not explaining how that poses a threat to either Greenland or to the United States, or what gives the United States the right to take control of Greenland by force, as Trump has implied, .... much less why an American President should be speaking of an autonomous nation in such hostile terms.

Why doesn't the Pituffik Space Base satisfy the strategic needs of the United States? Why is full control of the country so important?

I disagree that is what is being said but your country has been taking control away from other countries most if not all of your life.

Greenland's problem isn't the U.S.... they just haven't figured it out yet.

Nobody has done anything. The U.S. told Afghanistan what to do, its telling Iraqi what to do, it was invading Syria, and its sanctioning the crap out of Russia.... you didn't have a problem all this. Why the concern now?
