I can't help myself. When i see these magazines, i have to buy them. It has been that way since i was a kid. I agree, the magazines are awesome b-room material

I have also. I have gotten them all since I was 12. I have them stored in my memorabilia including the 96 Athlon with Peyton Manning on the cover.

It is my Crown Jewel of the collection.

get phil steele's magazine, its always the most accurate year in and year out. He picked sc to win 8 in 2008 in the midst of a 21 game losing streak. What did the gamecocks do, you geussed it. He also had UGA not going to a bcs bowl this past year when everyone else had the dawgs at #1. We saw how that turned out.

The mags signal the start of the season for me. I remember between two-a-days in HS running up to a magazine shop and buying a Street & Smith. I've stayed loyal to them, but I've gotten my hands on Phil Steele's mag the past two years. His writing is an aquired taste.

Plus, he's a Gawwgia fan

I have "Jim Feist College Football Annual"('97) and "Bob Griese's College Football Preview '97", both of them have Peyton Manning on the cover.

Athlon comes out around June 4th or 5th.

I have to agree tha Phil Steele SEC football preview is the best regarding the amount of information for a certain conference or area. The magazine devotes six pages per team. It has in-depth position outlook, detailed stats and results from last year and stats and results from last 5-10 yrs, detail depth chart and roster just to name a few things.

Football times is a great preseason magazine for detail info on the Vols but it also looks at things with orange colored glasses.

Steele currently has you guys at 38th. fyi

Yeah but Football Time has us at 19!!!!!!!!!!!!:toast::baloon::fireworks:

So what if the publication is based in Knoxville? I'm sure it's reporting is unbiased.

I always got a kick out of the predictions in Football Time in Tennessee. We'd always have 3 preseason All-Americans and 8 All-SEC guys according to them. Every year they'd always profile an instate recruit or two who were on the fast track toward the HOF.

Football time is really good this year. I think it is pretty unbiased. Berry is the only AA. Rico and Williams make the All SEC. It has articles about each coach. I highly reccommed it.
