I’m glad we’re represented, but a little surprised at some of the choices. Brazzell and Heard over Eason, West, Josephs, and Gibson??

It would be Brazzell and Heard over the receivers and offensive tackles at other schools, not over Eason, West, Josephs, and Gibson.

Eason, West, and Josephs don’t have the stats or reputations to be on these preseason lists (although I personally think if Josephs stays healthy he will play himself into first round contention this year). Gibson, it wouldn’t have surprised me to see make a team, but it wasn’t a no brainer to include him.

Given McCoy’s injury, I think our best bet for All SEC this year is Wendell Moe. I fully expect him to make one of those teams at the end of the year.

I don’t really think Heard and Brazzell deserve it either, but maybe that says more about the perceived state of those positions than it does them. Both will obviously have to improve greatly if they are going to make end of year lists.
