There’s a big difference when Georgia dominates us every year regardless of location and we haven’t kept a Bama or Florida road game within two scores. I do expect us to lose a game that we shouldn’t because we do every year.Last year's road games were Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Vandy. This year's road games are Bama, Florida, Kentucky and Miss. St. There's not much difference from an overall standpoint. Unless you expect us to lose to either Kentucky or Miss. St., then Georgia and one of Oklahoma, Arkansas or Vandy would have to beat us in Neyland for us to finish 4-4.
I don’t see it this year. I don’t think it would be Miss St or UK. We’ve played very well at home under Heupel. We won’t be favored vs UGA, but we most likely will be in every other game at home, depending on how much OU improved. There’s a big difference when Georgia dominates us every year regardless of location and we haven’t kept a Bama or Florida road game within two scores. We loose every year because Georgia does the same thing every year for the last 10 years and we never defend it. Throw to the tight end.I don’t see it this year. That’s the thing about losing games you shouldn’t. You don’t see it coming beforehand.I don’t see it this year. I don’t think it would be Miss St or UK. We’ve played very well at home under Heupel. Do people really think losing Nico is that big of a deal? I for one do not see it at all. How quickly do people forget that the defense carried this team last year? Dylan Sampson was literally all we had on offense and I think we have two fully capable running backs this year. I honestly think both sides of the ball will be better this year and our schedule is favorable. Hell, if our QB can complete a pass 15+ yards downfield we will be light years better on offense
Very fair point. Our top 4 projected DTs are all older guysI'm in the wait and see crowd.
The QB play was average at best last year, but the play calling looked stale.
There are so many unknowns this year. I do think we have quality backs and if Bishop stays healthy I think he will surprise people and he will win the job.
On defense, I just hope we can get off the field against physical teams. Our highly thought of defense let us down against Arkansas and a few others.
I believe our defense will be better this year than last year!!Very fair point. Our top 4 projected DTs are all older guys
Eason 6'3 305 RS SR
Hobbs 6'4 300 JR
Moi 6'2 300 RS JR
Schell RS JR
Joseph and West at LEO and SDE are maybe the best combo in the conference.
LEO
Josephs 6'3 243 SR, Herring 6'5 250 RS SO, Ross 6'5 250 SO
SDE
West 6'4 290 SR, Bailey 6'3 280 RS SR,
Weathersby 6'4 265 RS SO
But the 3rd group is a bit weak at right now, freshman and journeyman there.
I agree . I think it’s boom or bust for the Gators. That schedule is no joke. We’re going to know a whole lot about them by mid October. They’ll start 2-0 and then it’s @ LSU, @ Miami, Texas in Gainesville and then @ aTm. They could easily be .500 overall and 0-3 in the SEC and still play UGA, @ Ole Miss who should locked in for that one and then they get us in late November. If they start out badly and it’s just not working, do they quit on Napier? The Gators won’t be dull that’s for sureI just don't get the Florida love, their schedule is brutal af.
We lost most of last year’s team, had the worst portal haul of any power conference team this offseason, and our high school recruiting is middle of the pack in the SEC.Of course you'd say that.![]()
It is not a stretch that the swamp lizards could be 3-7 heading into their game with us. LIU, South Florida, and Miss State are the only for sure wins I see. Kentucky has played them well for the last several years, and it is at Lexington.I agree . I think it’s boom or bust for the Gators. That schedule is no joke. Because they've done well in the transfer portal, and they have a returning 5 star QB who helped turn around their season last year.I just don't get the Florida love, their schedule is brutal af.
I thought 2-10 last year wasn’t stretch but they won 8 games. I imagine they finish over .500 again barring catastrophic injuries. It is not a stretch that the swamp lizards could be 3-7 heading into their game with us. They should be a lot better this year unfortunately.
Their WR room is as talented as it's been in a long long time. When Florida has good WRs the league feels it.
I think they beat LSU and Texas AM and Ole Miss.
UF vs UT could be a Top 10 match up like old days.
