Prepare yourself for media backlash

I wanted Kiffin, but I just want someone to pump some excitement into this fan base. I think Leach is that guy x100. He's brilliant, and with talent could be elite.

It's going to be fun again Freak. We've all been waiting for this since 2009.

Personally, I love Leach but expect to be called a hypocrite by the media. Do I believe Craig James’ version of Leach locking his son in a shed? Nope, no I don’t. I think he sent him somewhere but didn’t lock him anywhere. He’s lucky he didn’t make him walk the plank. But, James being a media guy, you know how that goes. You know the stories will come as hearsay vs actual abuse (again, whatever James) but don’t let it ruin your sword swinging.

The media hates any opinion that isn't theirs, funny thing is if we get Leach and start winning; they will lighten up considerably.

You're probably right. Especially because we impugned their beloved Ohio State by revolting against one of their blessed coaches based on his past.

I hate Ohio State, lose to freakin Iowa by 31 yet the media is still yearning to get them in the playoffs. They are the LAST 2-loss team that should get in.

Doesn't matter. No one at VN should be on board with this hire as long Currie and Haslam are involved with it.

I like Leach, but Currie doesn't get to hire him. Plain and simple. He should have already been fired.

I agree. Even more reason to love Leach. He doesn't seem like the "yes man" haslam type. I hope we don't handcuff him with tight monetary restrictions for staff

That's not even close to what happened. He was in a media room and walked himself into a electrical closet to film his little sherade on his phone. Sent it to his dad Craig and it all blew up. Everyone needs to read the reports. It was a witch hunt.

The other thing is, Leach ordered him off the field and to see the trainer. The trainer, who answered to the assistant AD and not Leach, told him to stand in the dark, which is sound medical advice to someone with a concussion.

James threw a fit. Texas Tech tried to get Leach to sign a formal apology, which was demanded, along with 60,000 dollars by the James family or they were going to put the video on youtube. Essentially Craig James and his lawyer were blackmailing Leach and TT.

Leach refused to sign any apology and maintained he'd done nothing wrong. Texas Tech finally fired him for not signing the letter. Their fans wanted the James family and everyone at the University ridden out on rails and Leach kept.

It was handled so poorly by TT that you'd have thought our AD was handling it.

I wanted Gruden or Kiffin. They would have instantly turned the program around. Leach is a better coach than Butch & Dooley but that doesn’t say much.

Well champ, he hasn't and that's not for a lack of trying by the fans.

This will be on the no marbles having other boosters who let Halsam run roughshod over them

So buckle up buttercup, the pirate could be sailing up the river to Neyland

The media will forget about TN's coaching search the minute Texas AM hires a coach.
