Prepare for War

It’s easier than you think. He only goes after coaches who understand the process and understand his word is final. Furthermore, it’s easy to make any coach look good when you’ve got bags of talent on the field and sidelines.

Sure but Steve Sark should not be close to Bama playcalling. He’s been nothing but an overrated playcaller for them.

He’ll get a job somewhere else but will be a dud. Having underwhelming coordinators revolving every year will take a toll

I am going to say coach O has to be cheating. And no one could convince me otherwise. With what he did at Ole Miss and here. And the LSU basketball team got caught last year. Something stinks in LSU

Agree. Something is just not right about that whole situation. LSU settled for him. USC didn't want him. Ole Miss kicked him to the curb. And now, all of the sudden he's a good head coach?

This is the first time he hasn’t struck gold doing it.
I’d like to believe he won’t correct it but we know he will

I watched his post game and he didn’t look healthy to me at all. All the color was gone from his face and he was damn near white around the eyes.

Maybe. But with their war chest, they'd rebound swiftly with yet another quality hire. However, I don't think Saban quits this season. Bama has too much resiliency both fiscal and player talent to stay down if what you describe happens.
Not so far my friend. History is not on their side for replacing a HOF coach with a high quality hire immediately after.

Alabama has more money than Clemson;)

Alabama doesn't offer Dabo any extra incentive that Clemson can't......

The money will always be there for Clemson to match what Bama offers.
The schedule is easier
The recruiting isn't really lopsided either......

And to top it off, history shows that following an all time great coach doesn't bode well for the coach either.....

Players>Coaches - Since being there his recruiting classes have ranked: 12, 3, 3, 4, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 6 and 1 again last year. Bama is playing with a stacked deck.

Hope you're right, I REALLY hope you're right despite the fact that:

I think once Saban retires Bama takes steps back like Tn did. Not saying it will last long as ours but they will take a hit for a few years. Who in their right mind wants to go in after Saban ? Just look at those nuts down there after losing to LSU calling for his job. If its Pruitt,Dabo or whoever. The first time they lose then they will turn on whoever the coach is. If they lose 2 games , they better get into the witness protection program. I dont see Dabo or Pruitt taking the job, it will be the worst decision that either one of them would ever make. Just seeing Sabans last few interviews , to me he seems like he is about burned out to be honest. Not saying he is , just how I seen it. Everything goes in a cycle and Bama will come back down to earth and there will be a new team. It happens to the best. Miami ,Tennessee,Nebraska,FSU etc

If Pruitt has us at 10 wins in 2021 and in the 6 bowl in 2022, I would be concerned if Saban leaves then. They will absolutely move heaven and earth to get Pruitt back because he would be the best choice to continue Saban's program. He knows all the recruiting places, he has history so its like "coming home", immediate acceptance by the rabid bubba fans.

Right now, Pruitt hasnt shown enough success here yet to be worried. But then, Saban isnt retiring this year anyway. By 2022,-2023 is the real danger, IMO. Pruitt will have shown what he is capable of here but will not yet be considered entrenched like Dabo at Clemson and Saban may retire around then. If so, its a real worrry. I think as long as Fulmer is AD, we are good - but he might retire by 2023? If Fulmer goes, I would not give a plugged nickles chance to keep Pruitt.

If Pruitt does continue to succeed past 2022-2023, and Saban doesnt yet retire, I think the door to get Pruitt will close. I still think he would be better off here if he is succeeding because he can build under his own name instead of Saban's.

Yep Bama and Saban won't recover from that LSU loss. Shut the program down and fire Saban!
On some Bama boards this is actually going on.Talk about being totally delusional and spoiled. They kinda remind me of us back in the late 90s early 2000s.

Hes not a good head coach. But just like Dabo at Clemson he has sense enough to hire great coordinators on both sides of the ball. He just manages the coaches and recruits.

This. Bama showing interest in Pruitt means Tennessee has had success under Pruitt. I define that success as having beat Bama a couple times and being in multiple SEC title games. The argument would always be that Bama recruiting is better than Tennessee so any shortcomings with Tennessee's level of recruiting would be erased with better players and recruiting.

Also Pruitt being on Bama's radar would be like options 4-6 or so. I don't see Bama being able to pry Dabo away from Clemson because they can't really offer him anything Clemson can't. Maybe they try to go after Kirby because he is who he is. I think they would panic and try to go after Pruitt just because it does two things. Gets them a successful coach and sticks it to their rival. Once again, this is only if Pruitt has had success at UT.

If no success, Pruitt to Bama isn't a discussion

You all need to remember 2 things about Dabo. He played for Bama, 1. He coached there already for 7 years, that's 2. He'd go back.

There is zero incentive for Dabo to leave for Bama.

Bama can't give him anything Clemson can't.....

I’m a believer that Pruitt & Co. will have Tennessee competitive for SECCs and the NCS. Along the way, I believe we will see a dip in Alabama fortunes and Saban being smart enough to bow out to preserve his legacy. It’s then that the pachyderm polookas will come calling.

If the UT is smart, they will begin now arming themselves for war. Start now putting aside the money needed to combat Bama’s push to get Pruitt and perhaps his entire staff. Start now being as dedicated as Bama to the football program to keep it top tier. Instead of lapsing back into the cesspool we allowed it to get mired in the first place. It might not be a bad idea to set a goal of a five hundred million stash to go along with whatever else might be needed. And even if we lost out, we’d be in such a sweet place hire whoever else wanted. Start arming now for the war to come.
So Pruitt has gone from getting fired in September to a $500 million stash for him and his staff?
