Do you just make stuff up? Moore and Lanier will be our starting corners barring injury. Teague is the best back up CB we have now for the two CBS who were brought in because Dooley, Wilcox and TJ all thought our CBS (including Teague) sucked horribly last year.

Do I make stuff up? Ask LV or Brent Hubbs what the coaches thought of Teague this spring. It's not some big secret. Go play with your Mike Hamilton action figure.

Yeah, I'm sure any coach who brings in recruits indicate that they suck. It's not like we are in the SEC and have to continue adding talent or anything.

And it definitely shows that he didn't expect any improvement from someone who just finished his first season on the defensive side of the ball.

Tvols, I am sorry that you have to rely on mr. halitosis and your subscription for all your information.

You and lots of other people are wrong. Teague will not be starting unless something happens to one of:
Starting safety Janzen Jackson
starting safety Brent Brewer
starting corner B Moore
starting corner I Lanier
nickel corner P Wagg

That is it. Thanks.

He's going to be the Nickel. It will be Moore and Teague starting. If Moore doesn't live up to expectations than expect Lanier (who has tore it up) and Teague to be the starters. Eric Gordon is nowhere in the mix right now, Justin Coleman and Anderson are much better than him right now. Also, coaches felt like Teague was the best DB we had this spring.

Isn't Anderson playing safety this year? And Gordon still has potential though. He'll see playing time.

Yes, because you have brought a wealth of knowledge to the board. Especially those threads where everyone laughs at you. Remember that time you sent me a private message and said you talked to someone close to the coaches, and we could sign more guys than what everyone was reporting. Yeah, you were wrong.

No, Anderson left spring as a starting CB (he impressed as well but many think Waggs will overtake his spot). Gordon looked terrible in Spring. He will see playing time if we are up by 3 TDs.

To be fair, Waggner, Lanier, and Moore weren't here during spring. So it still could be a Waggner/Teague/Lanier battle for the 2nd corner spot.

Looked up the volquest.com and it says Anderson is the starting corner. Who will be the backup safeties? Randolph and...?

Waggner was injured but still played safety during spring with Janzen gone. The coaches really have never like Waggs for some reason. I really hope Janzen keeps his head on straight because Prentiss as a safety is horrific, but he played well as a corner when switched last year.

I think Teague makes more sense as the nickel guy and Waggner as the other outside corner with Waggner's size and Teague's shiftiness.

If a safety gets hurt, more than likely Moore moves to safety.

Gotcha. I'm trying to get information since I'll be doing the DB position soon and want to get everything right. So right now, it's...

CB- Moore/Coleman
CB- Waggner/Anderson
CB- Teague/Lanier

S- Jackson/Waggner or Anderson
S- Brewer/Sapp

Can Randolph play either safety position?

The last thing you said is factually accurate, but it is more likely that Janzen will mess up again.

If they all keep healthy, we will go from having 0 SEC corners, to 2.

Actually, Wilks is in the two deep as of now. I don't think Anderson will play safety coaches seemed to be impressed with him at corner. If the reports of Lanier looking dominant are true, our three best corners (in no order) are Moore, Teague, and Lanier. I will find it hard to believe that Teague and Moore/Lanier aren't the starters to start off the season. I cannot overstate how much the coaches really like Teague as a corner.

ZJC, the above is wrong. Moore and Lanier are starting CBs. P Waggner is the starting nickel corner.

They love J Jackson, B Brewer and B Moore, and then there is a drop off a bit down to Lanier, who is still much better than the back ups.

I would not be surprised if Randolph took over though for Wilks. I like Rod, just don't see him getting much playing time next year.

Teague is going to be really good. He looked great last year considering the situation.

Quoting Brent Hubbs? From the spring? Before Lanier got on campus?

I cannot emphasize how much the coaches like Daniel Hood at DT.

He will not be starting over Couch.

He looked lost this Spring. Coaches were constantly dogging him. If he shows what he did this Spring, he will be a candidate to leave the team.

So we did not get a transfer to USC? Or make the Elite 8?

It is the worst when you pretend to have a freaking clue what you are talking about. I hope it only takes until September for ZJC to realize you are full of it.

The coaches like Hood's potential. The coaches have said he is still has a long way away from being a good DT, but he made great strides this Spring.
