He'll fight for the second corner spot along with Eric Gordon, Marsalis Teague, and Izzy Lanier.

No I'm dead serious! If you remember last year his tackling left a lot to be desired. He did make some big plays last year though. I know we have some talented db's like Byron Moore too just wanderd if he could beat him out for the starting job

He'll be the nickel guy. That's what we'll play a lot of this season anyway so we'll have atleast 3 corners on the field most of the time. Moore, Teague and Waggner.

I cannot wait to see Byron Moore play this year.

I really wish Eric Gordon would step it up. I feel he may be the most athletic out of all of them, but he just gets to pumped up looking for the big hit and loses himself in coverage.

Point taken. Hope to see more big plays and less missed tackles this year...he def has the ability to be a major contributor to a defense that needs people to step up

He's only going to be a sophomore. He'll get better.

He's going to be the Nickel. It will be Moore and Teague starting. If Moore doesn't live up to expectations than expect Lanier (who has tore it up) and Teague to be the starters. Eric Gordon is nowhere in the mix right now, Justin Coleman and Anderson are much better than him right now. Also, coaches felt like Teague was the best DB we had this spring.

considering his ball-hawk abilities, at the VERY LEAST he'll be the nickel corner. glad he's staying at CB though. i don't think the idea of him moving to safety was smart.

I think it was always a last resort option. But once Darren Myles was gone (and Brewer wasn't back), who did we have who could even play safety?

Then we'll have problems in the 2ndary, because he was not very good last year.

Yeah, because he didn't only have a couple of months experience along with an injury. And obviously no one gets better after their first year at a position.

It is Moore, Lanier and Waggner.

I have been saying this for months.

There are too many threads to even bump of the morons who said that Lanier would not start.

By the way, if we get Autry and he does not get injured, he will start also. Dooley does not bring in JUCOs for fun.

Do you just make stuff up? Moore and Lanier will be our starting corners barring injury. Teague is the best back up CB we have now for the two CBS who were brought in because Dooley, Wilcox and TJ all thought our CBS (including Teague) sucked horribly last year.
