What are yalls thoughts on the Ballon d’Or?

Seems like a big crock to me. Rumors that some of these players (Dembele being one) of paying PR firms to spin/influence their campaign.

It’s crazy to me how consistent Salah has been in the toughest league in the world, had his best individual season to date and finishes 4th.

Lamine is the best baller in the world right now. Crazy he didn't win.

He is certainly the media darling. I won't argue Lamine is not a top player. However, Salah, for example had more goals and assists across all competitions last year in a tougher league, which his team won. He also matched PL goals/assists season record.

I can't argue against Salah at all especially looking at stats. I'm just giving it to Lamine off the eye test.

I certainly think he has ample opportunity to win it in the upcoming years. Part of my frustration comes from Ronaldo/Messi winning it over Salah in their later years when they weren't actually performing at top tier. It seemed they were given it simply based on their name and status.

I'm clearly bias toward LFC though which I why I'm curious as to other takes.

This was the point where the award became kind of a joke to me. Messi winning it more or less for his performance over a few weeks at the WC but playing his club football at Inter Miami while Salah clearly had the best club season playing in England was ridiculous.

This Chelsea team is so naive. Mistake after mistake and now after two straight PL games with red cards plus the injuries we have we are going to most likely have to start two young and Inexperienced CBs against Liverpool next week. Maybe Badisheile will be fit enough but he isn’t much better. Going to be fun..

People are going to point to the still image of ball “supposedly” hitting salahs hand but neglect to see/show the other camera angles. Will also neglect to point out CPs allowed throw in after the 6 minutes of added time or their initial goal was from a corner that shouldn’t have been given.

This being said Palace were the better side and deserved the 3 points.

Need a Vols win in enemy territory.

He’ll get hired by the next team to sack their manager. PL manager have become like musical chairs. Spurs sack Ange, he’s hired by Forest after they sacked Nuno, who was subsequently hired when West Ham sacked Potter. Villa and United look the most likely to make a change if they don’t start winning soon.
